Superb pub with rooms. Highly recommended.
Pros:

We arrived after the kitchen was closed, but a delicious meal was rustled up for us with the help of Liam on the front desk. Our room (Wild Horse) was stunning and very comfortable. We had a delicious breakfast in the morning. The wild mushrooms on toast were delicious.

Cons:

Good location but pricey
Pros:

Location.
In much better nick than the Cecil

Cons:

Pricey
My room had the bath in the bedroom with no separate shower
At just shy of 200 quid a night I’d have liked access to a decent shower

Good location for walking Hereward Way but disappointing if you want and early night.
Pros:

Comfy bed. Large and pleasant room.

Cons:

It was very noisy as I could hear people in the bar until 11pm. Also woken up at 7am by the piped music at breakfast.

Rooms are nice and comfortable but for the price we wouldn’t stay again
Pros:

Well located

Cons:

Shower blasted hot and cold so was horrible having a shower. It was quite noisy, noise from the street, other guests and a dog consistently barking
