Excellent restaurant.

Cons:

Trop peu de stationnement. Zone de stationnement minute à mieux signaler. Public bruyant au dîner et au petit-déjeuner.

Comfortable clean room in good quality pub
Pros:

Our room was Lyon, a good size, bed was magnificent and comfortable and rolled top bath a joy - the toiletries provided were excellent quality. A lovely big fan was provided and curtains closed with open windows to help keep our room cool in the high heat wave.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Food was excellent, we enjoyed dinner and breakfast there.
Drinks were excellent.
The garden area was a bonus as it was lovely to sit outside in the shade on a hot evening. The outside bar is a great idea.

Cons:

Our room was facing the road so with windows open in the heat of the Summer we heard the road noise so I would ask for a room in a quieter position if staying again. However, we were there for only one night and had enough sleep.
Having the car park down the road was something we knew about when booking and we parked easily but brought the car nearer to pack up as it was a hot day to carry bags for several minutes walk.

Full of character and a perfect base for exploring Stamford.
Pros:

The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and full of character, with an incredibly comfortable bed and pillows. The large bath in the room was a lovely feature, and the cookies left for us were a nice touch. Staff were really friendly, the evening food was great and the whole place had a relaxed atmosphere. Fantastic location, an easy walk into the centre of Stamford.

Cons:

Unfortunately, we stayed during extremely hot weather and although a fan was provided, we needed the window open which made the road noise very noticeable. We were also woken early by deliveries and workmen directly outside our window, so despite the wonderfully comfortable bed we didn’t get the best night’s sleep! I would have preferred a shower as well as the bath. Parking is a little awkward, although we did find somewhere nearby.

Fabulous hotel, great location
Pros:

Location, quality of the room

Cons:

Lack of decent fan. A single floor fan meant it was not effective in providing any relief

A wonderful start to our roadtrip; it certainly set the bar!
Pros:

A cute find, with all of the facilities we needed.

Cons:

Old building without air-con, and the room was very warm following a summer’s day, but the fan worked hard and we were comfortable throughout.
