Great location and on site beer garden was very good. The hotel’s old world decor.
Checking in and out with luggage is an issue as the parking is a couple of hundred metres away. We parked outside and dashed in to drop bags off before driving off to free off site parking location .
Beautiful historic property

Staff great location great and hotel was olde worlde
It was very hot in the room with a fan that just blew hot air around which made it very uncomfortable
It was just unfortunate it was one of the hottest days in the year perhaps air con units instead of fans ?
The staff are friendly and helpful. Great bathroom.
Had we not pre-booked we would’ve looked for an alternative hotel.
The accommodation failed to live up to the price.
We had a stiflingly hot room with just a small noisy fan. The bedroom window opened on to a very busy road with incessant traffic. The noise and fumes made for a really oppressive experience. Earplugs were essential as the traffic noise didn’t subside. We opened the bathroom window to try and ventilate the bedroom but it was by a kitchen extractor duct and the room filled with cooking smells.
The room had no wardrobe storage. The lighting in the room was poor.
The food was disappointing and did not live up to the menu descriptions. The terrace where we ate was festooned with plastic wisteria and benefitted from loud piped music.

Well located. Great beer garden. Very good breakfast.
No AC - large noisy fan instead.
Great location, lovely sized room , friendly happy staff through out whole stay, one of our best brekkies ever very tasty omelette again served with a lovely staff member, evening off arrival day they had a music night on which we were given entry too, was a very enjoyable night.
The pub has made great use off their outdoor space many a landlord could get great ideas from this place
Room was at pavement level and the window did not seem to have a lock, room also got very warm, fans were provided but they tend to blow hot air about, with window open you had a lot of traffic and people noise and safety issues as they dont lock at any height.
We loved the evening music but would be wise to warn pre booked guests as some may not be to happy with music and people noise till gone midnight.
Price of drinks was nearly double what we paid in Stamford town for the same drinks which was disappointing.
The shower was a bit out of order, but quickly mended by a charming gentleman.
Great room stunning furniture, very comfortable

Room was very comfortable although there is some obvious road traffic noise as the main road is directly outside
