Pros:

We have stayed here previously and we wanted a special place for our anniversary weekend. The view and room were great as always, but it was the staff that made our stay amazing. Tina at the front desk was very efficient and kindly took the time to correct my own booking error and upgrade us to our desired room type like we had stayed in previously. Stephanie and Abby in Fathom restaurant really helped make our anniversary evening special with their cheerful, efficient and attentive service. Michael, our waiter and the bartenders Matt & Len were also service masters and helped create a fun experience. We could not have picked a better place to celebrate our 45th anniversary.

It was one night... it was okay
Cons:

Did not like hearing the neighbour's doors slamming closed. Also parking was at least $10 too much.

Nice hotel in a great location.
Pros:

THe staff are great and they have a very nice dining room which we used for breakfast. The rooms are nice if a bit small and they bathroom is adequate if a bit small. The only downside was the beds are really hard which we are not used to so it was uncomfortable to sleep. The kids loved the pool! Location is great!

Cons:

The beds were not comfortable and the bathroom while clean and adequate was a bit tight. The tub had a very high side which would have been good for baths but a bit difficult to get in and out.

Grand hotel on Victoria's Inner Harbour
Pros:

The Grand Pacific is an elegant looking hotel, very well situated on Victoria's inner harbour, next to the Legislature. At this time of year, it is relatively affordable, and has great facilities. The room was very comfortable and quiet, though the furniture is somewhat dated. It had a private balcony and a stellar view as well. Sleep quality was really good. The pool and hot tub is part of the Victoria Athletics Club, and is top notch. I would definitely consider staying here again.
