Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. One downside was the noise after 10 p.m., with people talking loudly in the hallways without much regard for others trying to rest.
As for cleanliness, nothing to complain about—everything was very clean and well maintained on a daily basis. The only minor remark would be that the toiletries were a bit limited: items like body lotion and cotton swabs were not replenished after the initial use during a four-day stay. Excellent service, with very kind and attentive staff. The restaurant team stood out for their professionalism and high standards.
Finally, the location is exceptional—very close to the convention centre and Point Pleasant Park.

Excellent place to stay when looking for quiet/ comfort and convenience with the family in a central location.
We were able to arrive in Halifax and relax watching a large flatscreen, fall asleep in a very comfortable bed with cozy and soft duvet. The rainfall shower feels great after a long day at a sports event!
We also really love that there is a restaurant onsite with room service. The food is delicious and you can order quickly online!
We will definitely stay here again, staff are lovely and polite. Entire hotel is sparkling clean, like you could eat off the floor.

Nice hotel in a great location with friendly staff and wonderful food! I would stay here on every trip to Halifax.

The hotel is noce, good location but the room i reserved woth 2 befs was not available and they tried to put me in a single. I was with my adult son so no way. Was not impressed with having to argue my way into my requested room after a red eye flight

Excellent service! Food provided during the conferences was delicious and some healthy options were offered. I particularly enjoyed having veggies and fruits. The gym has a good variety of training "toys".
The location is excellent since there are lots of shops, restaurants and an amazing sidewalk by the water within walking distance.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff is great, the amenities are spectacular

We had a very comfortable room with a view if the harbour. Staff were very friendly and professional.

Room was clean and nice but a little on the small side. It wasn’t Fairmount small but just a bit tighter. Harbour side rooms have a great view. Nice sized desk if you’re working in your room.
My only complaint is the water pressure in the shower is pretty low.
Service was friendly and helpful to a person.
Location is right downtown on the waterfront. Very close to the Farmers Seaport Market, Pier 21, and lots of restaurants.

This is a very nice soulless chain hotel that I would appreciate if I were on a business expense account. The room was identical to the rooms in all of these big chains, immaculate, quiet, huge television, good bathroom. It is not at all my style of hotel, but I voluntarily chose it for last minute convenience.

I visited the Westin for Easter Brunch last Sunday. A friend of mine had won two tickets to the brunch as a door prize at an event and invited me to join her. I was looking forward to the experience and, having experienced brunch buffets at many upscale hotels and resorts in various countries in my life, expected a certain level of food quality and choice.

The Westin far outstripped those expectations. Not only were the presentation and variety of offerings stunning, but even more impressively, the quality of every single item I sampled was excellent. It's difficult to pick out specific examples without writing a book, but I can't leave without mentioning the various gelées on the dessert table. Their presentation was lovely, but the exceptional flavours of the passionfruit and raspberry gelée and the raspberry and rose gelée cake layer were beyond any I've experienced from a professional kitchen. There's a culinary genius (or several) in the back of the house!

While I'm an omnivore with virtually no food restrictions, my companion is vegan and came slightly dubious about what would be available to her. Not only were dishes clearly marked to indicate safety for a number of common food restrictions, but when she asked our server about vegan-safe options, a chef immediately came from the kitchen to give her a personalized tour of what was available --which was more dishes than she could try in a sitting.

I originally accepted her invitation thinking it would be a unique experience, as I would not normally consider paying Westin holiday brunch prices for any buffet, no matter how extensive. We can now chalk that attitude up to my lack of imagination. The quality, choice, service, and overall attention to every detail of customer experience add up to a bargain. I'm already planning my next visit.

Very great place to be solo or with friends or family

Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel! We were in town to visit family. Location was perfect for us. Got a room with harbour view which was lovely. Loved that it is so dog friendly! Our granddog was able to have a sleepover, no questions asked. Used the gym which was adequate though not exceptional. Good shower pressure, clean room. Nice amenities. Carpets are a bit tired but overall a great stay.

Great atmosphere very clean and quiet

The Westin has become my go-to hotel now when I am in town. It’s clean and classy and very quiet. Also love the location down on the waterfront.
