Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel

I believe the location speaks out loud.

Wearechapoy with everything we always stay here .. only one hic up please mend the lift one of out four as been broken for many months .. lifts are crowded it’s the only way to get down from high floors particularly .. it can be a nuisance .. otherwise location stay ads fold accomodation
And particularly the amazing friends efficient staff are more like friends ..

Outstanding location. Right on Orchard Street where the street is filled with high-end shopping, but also next to Lucky Plaza which I understand is the Filipno markets. Right out there door is the MRT which takes you wherever you need to go. The underground MRT is an entirely world of its own. There’s a Hawkers Center eatery at the base of the escalator and more shops that takes you into more shops. It’s endless. Outstanding breakfast and excellent Executive Lounge for Platinum Elite members. Beautiful pool for being in the center of the city on the 5th floor. Only downside, which didn’t ruin my trip is the woman who checked us in at the desk. She wasn’t too friendly. She wasn’t friendly or personal and the same for the woman at the concierge's desk. Outside of those two women, the rest of the front desk staff and concierge staff were outstanding, friendly, and always helpful. I don’t think you’d have a bad view in this hotel if you were in a high floor. We were fortunate to have been on the top floor, which is 30. Beautiful. Loved our stay here for five nights.

Overall I had a good experience stay in this hotel. The areas can improve on I think was the lift, have to wait for a long time to get the lift. I'm really grateful for what Xin Yi did for me. As I was first time in the lounge, she patiently explain to me most the hotel facilities and suggested me to try their new signature cocktail. But for me, still more prefer in wine selection. Also, as I could not sleep well, she asked someone send a different pillow to my room which made me can sleep well throughout the night.Thank for her hospitality service and hope to come back again. Thank you

Nous avons également pris le meilleur petit déjeuner de tout notre séjour. Il y avait moins de choix que dans d’autres hôtels, mais la qualité était bien supérieure.

Centralised location with direct access to MRT and food court, large room size, cleanliness, wide spread of food options at buffet breakfast, late check out

I rated this place before and want to add on. The location of course is prime, however the hotel is getting old. The rooms are still alright but the elevators show it the most. Some buttons are not working properly, incl. call buttons. Best for this hotel is the lounge / M Club though. Especiall Mr. Zul always makes my day. He was running the morning shift during my stay and is a very nice, attentive and talkative person. Makes breakfast and the start to the day very nice.
I see the hotel gradually renovates the elevators and also rooms. Hope my next visit I find a lot progress on these already.

A Truly Pleasant Stay

We absolutely loved our stay! The hotel is well-maintained, tastefully designed and decorated. We loved the fresh orchids all over the building - such a beautiful touch. It is perfectly located right on Orchard street, where shopping and food choices abound. It is only a few minutes from the subway and a bus stop. Our room had a spectacular view of the city yet still quiet at night. Beddings and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was varied and tasty.

Now… for the real stars of the hotel who made our stay memorable. We would like to thank the following staff:

1. Sarah Lim at the front desk - welcomed us with such genuine warmth. She sent over a welcome platter of fruit. We casually mentioned that is was our 40th wedding anniversary and she sent some treats. We were so touched.
2. Ellen at the breakfast check-in. What a wonderful way to start our morning! She always had a sweet demeanor, with a friendly smile. I looked forward to seeing her.
3. Choo, Yul, and Hailey at the M lounge. Choo was very patient in helping us with the printer. He is polite and conversational. Yul had a great sense of humor and was very chatty. Hailey was always attentive and efficient, noticing when to replenish drinks. She was always charming.
4. The lady behind the noodle station is always cheerful. She also works at the M lounge.
5. Latif, one of the doorman. Very friendly and notices us.
6. Yan Yi - kept our room tidy, fresh, and clean. She remembered to keep the sheet in the bed that we requested.
7. Xing Chao, the housekeeping floor supervisor. She was always cheerful whenever she saw us. Always making sure the room was clean and asked if we need anything else to make our stay comfortable.
8. Karen from 27th floor housekeeping. She was a delight, very warm, sweet and personable. We enjoyed our interactions with her. While she wasn’t the housekeeper on our floor, we met her one night when she was doing the turn-down for a staff who couldn’t work that day.

Above and beyond the excellent amenities, it’s the personal touch that the above-mentioned staff showed us that made our stay memorable. Highly recommend Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel!

This is our 4th visits to the Marriott Singapore Tang Plaza and we really enjoy to stay here. We visited the lounge for a few nights unfortunately we were not very good in English. We would like to thank Xin Yi who patiently explained to us everything especially the ingredients of the cocktail and hotel operation timing. Definitely will be back again next time.
