Love the stay..hygenic beautiful view

Serious Roach Problem
Pros:

Roach Problem: The wife and I were only staying for a full day. We checked in after midnight the night before after being on the road half of the day. We were tired and just wanted to sleep. The next morning we woke up and spent the day out of the room. That evening, we returned to find our room infested with roaches once the lights came on. I killed at least 5 of them within minutes of each other. Looks like they were coming in through a crack in the grout by the bathtub. It was absolutely disgusting. I called the front desk and all they offered was to send a maintenance man up with a can of spray. Since it was late and we were leaving early in the morning, and needed to try and get some sleep, not to mention that I had killed all that I could see and plugged the crack up with toilet paper, we declined but asked that a note be put on our record as I planned on reporting it once I got back home.

You know, I would never expect to find roaches in a Holiday Inn or La Quinta, but I for sure would not expect to find any in a Wyndham property. The sad thing is that we were on the very top (7th) floor. So I know that if we had them in our room, then others must have had them in their room as well. And I don't believe that this was an all of a sudden issue. We had to make sure that all of our bags were up off of the floor and zipped up tight, because the last thing that we wanted was to bring any home with us.

We looked at several places to stay on the beach and chose Wyndham Garden because we felt they were a reputable and clean company. Were we proven wrong.

They need a ramp leading from the pool area to the beach. It’s very hard for older people to have to use all those stairs and pack things down to and from the beach

It was decent.

The hotel was decent. Beach had plenty umbrellas to rent. Food was pretty good.
