Categories

Cleanliness
8.2
Rooms reported as very clean by some guests, but repeated comments about the pool perimeter and area around the pool being dirty or slightly cloudy lower the score slightly.
Service
9.3
Several guests praised friendly, accommodating and helpful staff and excellent service, though there are a few reports of rudeness and unresolved issues; overall service sentiment is positive.
Location
9.5
Multiple strong positive mentions of the location and spectacular river/skyline views make location a major strength of the property.
Room Quality
8.3
Rooms are generally clean and have great views, but there are issues reported with AC/temperature control, occasional wrong room assignments, and some missing in-room amenities (no bottled water, no slippers, no magnifying mirror).
Amenities
8.1
Good gym and a large indoor pool are noted positively, but the pool water clarity and pool-area cleanliness, plus parking security problems, reduce the amenities score.
Value for Money
8.4
Mixed feedback: some guests felt the hotel offered excellent value, while others found it too expensive for what was provided (breakfast quality vs. price, parking charges).
Food and Beverage
8.5
Restaurant and some breakfast comments are positive (good restaurant, varied dishes), but breakfast was also described as lacking vegetables/cheeses or ordinary by some guests.
Overall Experience
9.3
Overall stays are described as very positive due to views, location, clean rooms and friendly staff, tempered by specific incidents (service lapses, AC, pool cleanliness, parking security) for a generally strong but not flawless experience.

Pros:

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient

Cons:

The room was advertised as having a kitchenette, so I expected proper cooking facilities. However, when I arrived, there was only a microwave, a very small fridge and a dishwasher, but no stove or cooktop. I found that disappointing because, in my view, a kitchenette should provide a more complete setup for preparing meals. Having a dishwasher without any proper cooking facility did not make much sense for my needs.

Comfortable stay with friendly staff and a convenient location.
Pros:

The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient.

Cons:

I paid separately for breakfast because I had a visitor, but I did not feel the breakfast was worth the price. The selection and overall breakfast experience could have been better.

Reasonable. With some easy fixes it could be great.
Pros:

Well located for this area of town with excellent views of the Detroit skyline. The rooms are spacious and clean. Car parking available right next door with a bridge to the hotel. The restaurant was great.

Cons:

Front desk staff, for the most part, was very unfriendly. At check-in we were told no other rooms were available (we received one next to the elevators), yet later learned most of the hotel was empty. The gym is OK although there was no AC. The pool was OK although not super clean, and the male showers were disfunctional.
