Cons:

How to make a self service tea/coffee it diminished the experience with breakfast service. Table service for this aspect by a staff member would give the experience a perfect score and a way to connect with the customer.

room was decent , some water from the shower went on the floor and leaked into the living area. staff got us a new bath mat and cleaned up no dramas. bang in the centre , walking distance to all the main attractions, opera house, whale tours and VIVID. great location .loads of good food gaffs near by as well.

People in the corridors were quite loud would be good to have a sign to remind people to keep quiet in the corridors

Serves the purpose
Pros:

Location was great. Breakfast was good. Hotel held our bags so we weren't wondering about the city with our luggage before check in time

Cons:

Bathroom needed a little extra love, mould removal etc. Bed & pillows felt hard (which I know some people like). Room $$ felt very high for the actual space, but I assume Vivid was driving prices up even though we weren't there to see it.

Great location in CBD
Pros:

We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed our time at the Novotel. It’s a nice compact and busy hotel right opposite Wynyard Station so perfect for catching the train and walking around the CBD. There was always someone available at reception and Sam was very friendly and efficient during our check in. We had a great breakfast, room service and drank at the bar and even borrowed an umbrella on a rainy day.
Rooms are large with a tv which we connected to You Tube and a little laptop desk you could move around.
I stretched in the gym after a run but would have loved a bit of an outdoor area but that’s just me.
Out of the 3 Novotels we’ve stayed at in Sydney each May (annual conference) this is probably the best one for us in terms of location and service. We would definitely come back again.
My only downside we seem to always have an incorrect billing issue with each Accor hotel and this was no exception and took an extra staff members and 10 minutes to resolve but was sorted.
