Tai Pan Hotel

Everything was going good till last day. I requested for late checkout at reception and the lady agreed for 2 pm check out. Later the power in my room was shut down around 1:30 abruptly. I was getting ready to leave and i had to do so in dark room without ac. When i asked at reception why power was turned off before time, receptionist Anna spoke very rude that it is out policy. I was shocked at her behaviour and felt really bad. I will refrain from booking this hotel again.

Shopping options excellent. Staff kind and courteous. Deluxe room very nice. Air con great. Been staying here since 2009. Breakfast buffet is really good too.

The hotel itself regarding guest rooms found to be dangerous regarding electricity supply.
There’s only 1 socket by the bed , this is tucked away behind the bedside cabinet with exposed live wires gapping holes where another socket removed missing skirting . All the lighting and air con is controlled by a small box on the bedside cabinet , typically where you would put drinks , bottles ect ,
Tv electric supply surface run . This adds up to a quick wiring job that is a fire risk and possible shock risk to guest , the smoke alarm too looked very old , not sure of working couldn’t see any room fire alarms or fire extinguisher. This being on the 10 th floor of a 17 floor building is a disaster waiting to happen . 1 small bottle water per person is bit mean !
Breakfast-cooked food that should be hot was cold only warmed up with small flame when staff thought needed re lighting
Time you picked up your knife fork it was cold .
Didn’t stay for breakfast last day , had 1 evening meal most I’ve paid in all 3 weeks in hotels restaurants wasn’t much food be honest, but when we confronted staff following morning was on the bill we were charged twice , this was refunded.
As I checked out 3 hours earlier I needed to order a taxi to airport but they shut your internet connection instantly. I don’t normally complain but in this instance I feel this needs to be recognised .
The furniture in the rooms was very out of date and no shelving for clothes ,

The hotel is in good location
Not that bad to get to if driving in
But the hotel is a little dated
But overall we will stay there again

Report about lift button was not working. Two days passed. Still not working.

It’s near MRT Sukhumvit and BTS Asok station, very convenient.

The price was very reasonable for decent service and location.

Great location. Very personable staff. Not the fanciest but very comfortable. Our home away from home. Love it.

Very convenient location, spacious guest rooms, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. We’ll definitely be back for our next stay in Bangkok.

Convinent location to Asok.

Good location about 100m from the metro. If it was not so cheap this is the last place I would stay in as trip back to the 70s kind of. Rooms big but very dated , mattresses so so. You get what you pay for in summary. Breakfast decent as well . No bed side lights and a strange light control box making me think of east germany 1980 for some reasons 😀

Perfect location for Soi Cowboy and Terminal 21 visitors

It’s very dated close to Soi cowboy , big rooms and the TV is Great , food is good , it has an outside bar , not sure about pool as never saw it it’s close to shops and Mall /station and transport , it does offer to store your baggage , staff polite and helpful

The place was impeccably clean, with attention to detail that made the environment inviting. The staff provided exceptional service, ensuring a pleasant experience. The food was delicious and well-prepared. I highly recommend it to anyone!

Not to mention the shocking urine stains on the toilet seat when I arrived, also be prepared to expect the minimal in terms of customer service. Having to leave Bangkok the next day, I asked the woman at the reception during check-in if she could help me book an airport transfer. She looked confused at first. Then, she said she needed to 'check something' and would get back to me later. I thought it may well be an excuse to refuse helping me but decided to give her the benefits of doubt. Well, true enough, she never got back to me. I could've asked her again but why should I? So, with this place, don't ask for anything additional.

Anna the front desk and all the front desk girls were helpful. The rooms are very large. It’s an older hotel about 3 mins walk to so cowboy. I slept fine and I believe far enough away not to keep u up all night great budget friendly place to stay
