Breakfast was sub-par and the staff will not deliver your towels at night when the room is not properly stocked. Bedding is very minimal.
Great hotel
Beautiful swimming pool
The hotel is conveniently located close to several restaurants and has easy access to the 101 Freeway. The rooms are very nice, clean, and comfortable. Overall, it is a convenient and pleasant place to stay.
The hot breakfast was very disappointing, with very limited choices—just a few sausage patties and diced potatoes that did not seem very fresh. There were no eggs.
The rooms are also quite small. We were also disappointed by the unexpected $10-per-day parking fee, which was not clearly disclosed when we booked.
Overall, the stay was okay, but the breakfast, small rooms, and unexpected parking charge were disappointing.
Good breakfast, comfortable and clean! Safe area
Only one elevator and it was SLOW or wouldn’t show up. Luckily a lot of stair cases to use.
The room was extremely unclean with pill casings on the floor and hair from previous guests all over

The microwave didn’t work. The water pressure was poor. The bed was uncomfortable. The Wi-Fi kept fluctuating.
The property was newly renovated which was great and I didn’t have any issues with construction noise even though they communicated in advance that it could be an issue.
The first room I checked into smelled so strongly of cigarettes that it gave me a headache and I had to change rooms. There was also a disorderly man causing issues with the only female staff inside to the point she needed to call the police to handle it. As a solo traveler it didn’t make me feel safe. Then the next afternoon I went to open my door and all the locks weren’t working and a maid had to let me in with her set of keys which also was inconvenient and didn’t make me feel safe. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again.
We have stayed at this La Quinta many times over the years and it is good to see that they are now improving the updated rooms
The door to room 112 was not hanging properly and was very difficult and loud to open and close.
The location
The room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. We woke up to a room full of ants. They were everywhere, even in our belongings. We were also woken up to a fight right outside our room while we were sleeping. The experience was awful.
Location was great. Just a small distance from Cal Lutheran University which was the whole reason for the trip. Swimming pool was great.
Our initial room had ants in the bathroom and the toilet started to back up into the shower. Our neighbors experienced the same thing we did. We were moved to another room which was better for the door wouldn't lock from the outside when closed. The waffle were soggy for breakfast and the serving area was too small.
The Bed was comfortable and the pool was nice.
It started with 2 towels for 4 people and took 3 times of asking for more to get them. The floor was dirty, coffee machine for breakfast did not work and the one day it did work, no creamer. No pool towels.

Room was dirty and out dated. Bathroom door didn’t close properly.
check in was quick
1st room was not cleaned and right next to active construction. second room was great except some type of alarm went off in early a.m. hours and twice again. Surprised by the now $10 a night parking fee, really?
