Another great event!
Pros:

We had our annual writers conference at the Colorado Springs Doubletree again this year. This was the best year yet:) The staff always gives us a warm welcome. And though they manage several events at once, they always make us feel like we are special. They met all our contracted needs, and even some of our whims. We send compliments to the entire hotel staff, with special mentions: Wes, Brittany, and Scot, who managed our event with patient professionalism. Patrick, at the main bar. Antonio and Melissa, who managed our concession bar. And Annie, in the dining room, who always makes us feel extra welcome. See you next year!

Great experiecece backed by great staff
Pros:

I just went to a great conference at the Doubletree Hotel and I was so impressed with the hotel facilities and the staff. Conference food can be hit or miss, but their new Chef produced the quality of food I'd expect in a 5-star restaurant. It was delicious and you can't say that about most conference meals. (Not only grits, but the best grits this Southern girl has ever tasted!) The wait staff was attentive and professional--led by Annie and Melissa. Wes and Scott made sure we had everything we needed. Brittany was always there to assist with a smile and a great solution. The Patrick and. I think it was Anthony or Antoine made sure we had a great drinks. Our hotel room was clean, modern, and well-appointed. Maid service was pristine. All in all this was a lovely experience at the Doubletree and I can't wait to go back next year.

This is our stay-cation spot. Perfect getaway when we can’t get away entirely.
Pros:

Location and friendliness of staff.

Cons:

Breakfast took longer than expected. From the time we ordered to the time we got our meal, we needed to take it to go to make it to work on time. There weren’t many people in the restaurant so not why it took so long but the staff was lovely.

Total rip off scam!
Cons:

When we got to the hotel with our Booking.com reservation number and pin for the correct date, we were told that Booking.com had not paid the hotel for the room and they would not honor our reservation. We paid Booking.com directly. The hotel refused our request through Booking.com for a refund, and Booking.com will not refund our money if the hotel refuses.

Ok stay
Pros:

Great entrance followed a long walk to some oddly placed rooms. The location is central to everything but the stay was not the best. Loud neighbors, thin walls beside and above. Barking dogs and access points to the hotel that were always open. That’s just the rooms. The lobby, restaurant and the gym are excellent…..but I’m not trying to sleep in those spots.

My stay was ok.
Pros:

The room service was great and the server was very polite and friendly.

Cons:

I left my room friday morning at about 640, my room was closed and locked securely. When I returned that night at 7 PM.My door was a jar and propped, open with the deadbolt. I'm assuming when housekeeping came. They had propped the door open with a deadbolt but forgot to ondo. So when they were done cleaning the room, leaving my room unsecure for multiple hours, this was very concerning, as I had left a very expensive cpat machine. And my work computer laptop on the table. Fortunately, nothing was stolen. However, the fact that my room was left unsecure for more than 5 minutes and could have been most of the day. Unsecured was very concerning and disturbing for me and left me feeling frustrated and unhappy.

Starbucks charging wrong prices and lying about it.
Pros:

We truly love the service location and amenities at this hotel (we check out today). However, for the 3rd day in a row I went to the Starbucks in the lobby and purchased daily coffees for my wife and I. Since there was a small line I was able to review the pricing of the Starbucks board and realized that their pricing was off. I'd been charged $3.95 for coffees each day, while the board stated $3.00. When pointing out that there is a discrepancy (and that it's ILLEGAL), the counter person stated it was due to hospitality taxes. When the receipt was printed that wasn't the case. They were truly charging 31% more via the register than what's on the board!!!! Ultimately, they handed me a $6 refund for my three days of overcharging and shared they'd look into getting the signs fixed. Bottom line, THEY ARE SILENTLY RIPPNG PEOPLE OFF by posting incorrect prices, then lying about it, then ultimately relenting when there's no other choice. PLEASE BEWARE!!!
