This hotel has really pretty grounds. The hotel didn't look like the pictures I saw on Trip Advisor when booking, but it was fine. We requested extra blankets and they took over 30 minutes to bring them to us, but other than that, our stay was just fine. A pretty typical hotel! Definitely nicer than staying right off the highway somewhere. Would consider staying again.
The food was excellent, however the pool was too cold and the hot tub was so hot we couldn’t even get in to either. We let the front desk know but neither situation was fixed before the end of our stay. We were looking forward to swimming and using the hot tub but were unable to.
I was in a group of high school friends celebrating our 75th birthdays. We had a wonderful time at Woodcliff which is in a convenient location to do a variety of activities. We ate in the restaurant twice and enjoyed our meals. The wait staff is friendly and professional. I would definitely go back for a longer stay.
The location was the only good thing about the visit and the dinner we did have on our first night was great.
I am very disappointed with our recent stay at the Woodcliff Hotel.
When we arrived around 9:00 PM, our room had clearly not been properly cleaned. There was an open bottle of wine left in the refrigerator, and the toilet seat appeared to have blood stains on it. We were exhausted from traveling and didn’t want to deal with changing rooms late at night, so we ended up cleaning the bathroom ourselves with Clorox wipes.
The next morning, we went to breakfast and had another frustrating experience. A guest who arrived after us received both his order and his food before we did. When we asked about our order, the server explained that the other guest was on a time crunch. We responded that we were as well, which is exactly why we had come down early for breakfast.
When we returned to our room later that day, we discovered that housekeeping had not serviced it at all. The following morning, we went to the front desk because it was difficult to get anyone to answer the phone. We asked whether housekeeping was no longer provided daily. The front desk associate assured us that it was and said he would make sure someone took care of our room that day.
Nice place to stay My wife enjoyed the Spa and I played a round of 9 holes while waiting before we left.
As always it was a mini restoration vacation. Excellent staff, cleanliness and location. Always an A+ experience
Great place to stay. Very comfy.
Woodcliff embedded in a beautiful landscape in Perinton. Nice amenities and food was good.
Will be staying on a regular basis for the next month. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The last tow time did have issues that were corrected. TV in the first stay did not work. A technician did come and repaired it. The second stay the room was made up but no water, coffee or body wash was replenished and had to ask the front desk for them.
The hotel is nestled in a peacefull wooded surrounding. The atmosphere is perfect. Staff is guest-focused on every need. Recommended in the spa that every visit include a massage! Woodcliff is a New York treasure!
Had an english muffin that was quite bland. Free coffee was nice. Location was perfect for our plans. Bar area is very nice and relaxing.
See you are doing a renovation which is nice. But it did make it look and feel dirty. Paint and dust in the hallways. Room was quite clean
Rooms look nothing like how they’re advertised in booking.com the spa appears to be advertised similar to an amenity although the price for any service was almost as much as our stay. Our bedsheets were not changed when we left and came back and were extremely wrinkled; not like how we left them. They looked almost like they were removed from another room and placed on our mattress. The garbages were removed but new bags were not replaced so we had nowhere to put our trash. I’ve stayed at basic Marriott’s that had better service and better looking rooms for much cheaper.
I always have a great time rooms - food - staff all excellent. Only negative was I wanted to golf but called the pro shop several times to set up golf but couldn’t get a hold of anyone . Other than that it’s always time well spent great place !
My partner and I come here often for anniversary's and "relaxation" dates. We love the spa and the amazing restaurant. The food and people are great!
Well, my stay could have been better. I'm going to start with the positives . The location is stunning, close to Pittsford and an easy drive to ROC. If the weather had been good, the views of surrounding property are impressive.
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful with questions about the property.
Unfortunately, my room 331 was located directly across from a utility closet that was used constantly by staff and the elevator. Since the house was booked up, both never stopped interfering with my sleep at night and catapulted me out of bed in the morning.
The room was just ok. Generally clean except for the lone couch next to the bed(the right armrest was soiled). Pretty spartan overall. The shower needs attention. Leaks from the main head and the wand in inoperable.
Also, I scanned the qr code for orientation but never located the hotel password to access the internet. Finally, the commode was right out of the 70's. So low I needed to hoist myself off of it 🙃. Please update them!
I don't understand the common area just off the hotel entrance. It is barren except for a couple of old chairs by the window and one day a few cocktail rounds. I thought that it may have been a Ballroom extension, but it is not. Not a good look.
At 9:00 on my way to meet family members on Friday morning for breakfast one of your maintenance employees was running a vacuum at the restaurant entrance, the moved on to the reservation desk during check out! What was he doing out there at that time? Should have been completed way before that hour.
Restaurant: 4 of us had dinner on Wednesday evening. The new menu was impressive, and the food was excellent. Salads were fresh and the entrees perfectly prepared. Our orders included: the roasted salmon (2), sword fish (1) ans and the tomahawk pork chop. All were done(not overdone) perfectly. The crazy expensive Cabernet was worth every sip.
I didn't mention the wedding celebration at the venue, because that's how special events bookings make their nut for the house!
That's it for now. Hope this helps!
As always the staff makes the visit most enjoyable, Justin, Kitty, Peter at the Starbucks bar, Andy and Christy.
Watching the upgrades, facelift going on is great to see.
The only disappointment for us was the personal safe is no longer available in the room, at least the one we were in this visit.

I chose this hotel solely for the reputation of the spa. Unfortunately I was unable to enjoy this feature. First off, check in was a mess, I was told at booking my total due at check in was 263 well, upon arrival a $75 fee was slapped on for able to use spa, room service and restaurant. Second spa was closed at check and you have a to book a spot, and the smallest package was in the hundreds and my $75 fee did not cover any of it, I at that point could not afford the spa bc of that fee. Third, restaurant cost $134, also none covered by $75 fee, fourth, we waited hours to receive our roof service request at least 2. At one point I had to walk down to request it again bc it had been close to 4 hours since calling down. I only chose this hotel to utilize the spa remember and was u able to enjoy it, wasted money and trip in my eyes.
