El lugar tranquilo
Todo bien
One of the waiters was really nice and spoke english. I liked how secure the entrance was. Location was near the airport
I stayed here because it is an airport hotel, and given the number of international travellers passing through Guadalajara, I expected at least some of the front desk staff to be able to communicate in basic English. Unfortunately, communication was difficult throughout my stay.
The overall standard of the hotel was also very disappointing. The shower in my room never had hot water and was not clean. The pool is in need of repair, and the Wi-Fi was by far the worst I have experienced in a hotel. I was trying to work during my stay, but the connection was so poor that I essentially had no usable internet.
The service at reception was equally disappointing. While I was trying to speak with the front desk staff, some of them were on their phones, showing each other videos and laughing rather than giving me their full attention. It also took far too long for someone to eventually show me to my room.
One interaction in particular made me uncomfortable. I speak very basic Spanish, but I understood enough to hear one member of staff commenting to another about my hair and skin colour, saying that I looked strange and was very pale. Regardless of whether they thought I could understand them, I found this extremely unprofessional.
The room itself had maintenance issues as well. The door did not appear to be fitted correctly, so whenever it became windy it rattled and made noise throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. There are other hotels closer to Guadalajara Airport at a similar or even lower price that offer much better standards, service and facilities.
This was my sixth visit to Guadalajara, and unfortunately this was by far the worst hotel experience I have had in the city. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
The view
This looks very old
No desayune
Hotel descuidado, areas comunes ok.
Everything nice as I recall when I used to stay there years ago
My room did not have a sheet to cover myself, just the one covering the mattress and there was no AC in my room
Vista espectacular
Todo me gusto
I liked the city view from the mountains.
Roaches in the room, old chipping paint, automatic door lock stopped working multiple times.
The rooms are very spacious. The hotel surroundings were pretty.
This Radisson bills itself as a five-star hotel but it would be generous to classify it as a three-star hotel, at least with respect to the rooms. The accompanying photos detail the shabby furniture. The room was musty, most likely due to an old carpet retaining odors. The shower did not function well, the water in the shower was only warm, and the stream of water was not good. The TV was surprisingly small. Regarding the location, the hotel sits on top of hill that provides a nice view of Guadalajara but there are no convenient stores or restaurants nearby. We arrived late and there was no food available on the premises, so we had to have food delivered. Lastly, the rooms are interspersed with condos so there are residents who permanently reside on the premises. While this in itself is not a problem, one of the residents in the above floor had an absurdly loud screeching bird.
