This hotel is living history combined with attentive service. Its location is perfect for walking to restaurants and shops. Food and beverages is excellent - breakfast is incredible. Rooms (had 2 double beds) was specious and outside street noise was never an issues. Bed linen was absolutely delicious. People were friendly and so attentive to our needs - arranged guide & driver. The only con was there is no elevator and not for people w/disabilities + there was interior construction (not at all noisy).
Amazing historic property. It exudes a sense of peace and we absolutely loved the relaxing pool and servers Carlos and Joel.
Security guard Aristeo? was kind and friendly. Location can’t be beat.
Beware of bait and switch on the room. We were told that there are many Gran Clase rooms and you don’t get the sq ft you paid for. We stayed 17 days and talked to others who came and went from the rooms we requested and paid for. Shame because the front desk staff who checked us in left a bad
impression for an otherwise lovely stay.
construction in hotel was unattractive
understaffed when-event is at hotel - kitchen not available to-guests as advertised
Menu is non changing so repetitive after two days ( add a seasonal special)
Servers speak Spanish only so menus should be in QR code for other languages
front desk & concierge staff were patriarchal, combative but most importantly spoke english to guests & then degraded the guests in Spanish to concierge & to other front door staff We speak multiple languages so we knew that to be the case Definitely front of house should aspire to be 5* not 3*
Amazing hotel - really attentive staff who helped with everything. Really old school glamour like turn down service and cocktails by the pool. Breakfast was unreal. Amazing location. No notes.
Nothing!
We stayed at the Quinta Real because we attended a family wedding there. This is a beautiful, historical hotel that is located in the heart of the city. We were able to walk everywhere. The service is impeccable and the food at the restaurant is delicious. I would stay there again!
The building is very beautiful. The staff are lovely and the location is good.
I specifically purchased a Gran Classe room because the photos suggest that the rooms are light and airy. What we were given did have two beds but it was very dark room - see photo and this was not good for jet lag! I really hate dark rooms which was why I paid more and felt somewhat let down by the hotel. Our bathroom was fairly old and not very clean and we had problems with the plumbing. I suspect the problem was a very large wedding party booked into the hotel who probably took all of the rooms we had booked and was also very noisy. Avoid this hotel at weekends because I think large weddings are a regular occurrence.
Loved this small historical boutique hotel in a former convent. Centrally located in "Oaxaca city", it's very close to most sites and the rooms and the physical property are lovely. The room in particular is large and well appointed and the staff makes sure it's very clean and with amenities like coffee and robes/slippers. The pool itself is a highlight and we enjoyed it during the hot days.
Beautiful and lots of character.
