Canal view was disappointing as was learning about the second building
Pros:

A great location to Zattere where you can get the Aliguna or the vaporetto, only a 4 minute walk to hotel. A small bar at night has drinks and small sandwich snacks

Cons:

Didn’t know they have two buildings side by side, we were put in second building which requires a walk over a bridge and that building does not have an elevator pass the first floor. Our room 110 had a raised platform separating the closet and bathroom from the bedroom. A tripping hazard, white motion lights are installed on the floor which go off all night if you get up.
A complimentary bottle of water is provided but only the first day, 5 euros after that. The pillows are hard, shower very slippery.
Selected a canal view room but due to the restaurant below umbrellas the view was obstructed. The hotel was nice and if I was in the building shown in their pictures things would have been good

If we return to Venice, we will also return to Hotel American-Dinesen.
Pros:

Breakfasts were exceptional in the variety of choices you could make. There were probably forty items or more, all first rate quality. Our room was quiet and we enjoyed the shower and bed at the end of a day of sight-seeing. The staff were very helpful with our questions and ready to help if needed. Our flight was so late arriving at Marco Polo airport that there was no way to get across the lagoon to our hotel but the Hotel sent us a water taxi at that late hour (about 9pm) which took us to the Hotels entrance. The Hotel is conveniently located a few minutes walk from the Accademia bridge across the Grand Canal to the main tourists attractions.

Cons:

The coffee was good but not as strong as I like.

Sehr gut gelegen aber etwas teuer!
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels ist sensationell, zentral und ruhig in der Nacht. Das Zimmer ist sehr gross.

Cons:

Der obere Teil vom Zimmer ist sehr niedrig und wenn der Nachbar darüber herumläuft ist es sehr störend. Der Empfang war sehr sec.

Great location, friendly staff, breakfasts is a rip off.
Pros:

Perfect location, close to everything you need, staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel had a perfect pick up spot for water taxi.

Cons:

Breakfast is 30 euros per person, ended up paying $135 for two days. Definitely not worth that much as it was a normal breakfast hotel buffet. You are better off going to a coffee shop nearby and paying less.

An excellent choice for a stay in Venice.
Pros:

The location was perfect. Quiet and uncrowded, yet just a short walk away from the most visited areas in Venice.

Great hotel with incredible hospitality!
Pros:

We has a wonderful stay at the hotel! Everyone was very welcoming and helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable. The location was great as well, very close to the Grand Canal and all the nice restaurants! If we ever revisit Venice this hotel will be definitely our choice again!

Great hotel in Venice!
Pros:

This hotel is lovely! Everyone is friendly and helpful! A private taxi brings you directly to their door and will also take you directly to the pier if you are going on a cruise. Best part is they will arrange all this for you! Definitely a good place to stay!
