I truly believe this has been one of the best stays ever. Every staff member I met was amazing, and I truly can’t wait to come back and stay there again.
Ms. Doreen from the front desk has gone above and beyond to make sure our repeat stay at The Embassy Suites feels like home away from home. She is professional and truly understands what "customer service" is all about. Thank you, Ms Doreen!
Really good breakfast.
The elevators kept breaking down.
I've been coming to this hotel for more than 4 years and it's always been very good. Customer service and room service and food service.
This time around, there was a lot of activity the week that we stood here in the hotel. There was probably a tournament for kids soccer or some kind of sport. I didn't like the fact that there was kids running around knocking at my door and hiding. Me and my family couldn't enjoy being in the pool or in the jacuzzi. I didn't enjoy half of the time that I was there.
-After check-in was complete, the woman forgot to return my passport. When I noticed, I went back and asked for it, and she claimed that I (the customer) had forgotten it. She didn’t give me my passport after check-in?!
-They simply charged me twice for the destination charge and taxes,
I told the staff that this had already been prepaid through Booking. It’s explicitly listed. The lady didn’t care. Now I have to deal with Booking...
-The rooms are outdated; the air conditioning is extremely loud, and the air in the suite is very stuffy. Couldnt sleep well.
-I didn't like the breakfast at all in terms of variety and quality
For the price, there are better options!
Overall pretty positive, and with some minor fixes it could be even better. The furniture is in bad condition and makes things look really run down, I had to ask for soap and coffee because it was missing or not being refilled. The carpet was sticky in places which was a bit gross. The room was big, the windows were nice, it was quiet. The AC was loud when it cycles on and off. Breakfast was nice, the coffee at breakfast was bad. Happy hour was an also a nice touch. Overall happy I stayed there.

I’m honestly surprised that a 4-star hotel doesn’t even have a business center. That’s a pretty basic amenity I would normally expect.
Very close to the mall (eating, shopping, movie theater) and San Diego trolley (access to downtown).
Busy streets are nearby and a little noisy
Read the bottle water tags to the very end. Was charged 13 dollars for 2 bottles of water because we read the first half of the tag saying “complimentary water on us as a thank you” called and she told me I should have read the fine print it’s for honors guests only.
