Pros:

Bien que la chambre était petite, l'espace était bien optimisé, la chambre restait donc pratique et confortable. Très propre. Bien équipée. La vue depuis le onsen sur le rooftop est magnifique.

Great onsen experience in heart of city
Pros:

I came during the renovation of the hotel but there was minimal disruption
The onsen is definitely a highlight , the cool pops are delicious. Incredibly relaxing experience

Disappointing: overpriced and poorly located.
Pros:

Pleasant stay but it did not meet expectations.
The onsen had a fantastic view.

Cons:

Despite the hype, this hotel lacked a few things:
1) The location is suboptimal (it’s not close to the heart of Shinjuku, and Shinjuku should probably be avoided unless you want westernised, cheap, chaotic nightlife).
2) The hotel is overpriced! The room was very minimalist, with small towels, no space to unpack clothes and few amenities.
3) The stay felt impersonal. For example, you check in and out on a computer screen and there was no efficient concierge service. This is what I expected from a Ryokan.
4) There were no real communal areas other than the onsen.
5) Although warned about the ongoing construction, it was visually disruptive.

Great stay in Shinjuku. Would recommend for adults, not families.
Pros:

We really liked the rooms and the rooftop Onsen.

Cons:

There were separate men’s and women’s onsens. While using the women’s Onsen, another patron brought in her young son. If you know about the manners of an Onsen, you would know that was really uncomfortable. I would recommend this hotel add signage prohibiting children from using the onsens.

The room I rented was smaller than I thought. Which isn’t their fault. I would recommend getting a suite.

Very clean and comfortable with friendly staff, restaurant is closed.
Pros:

Loved the onsen, the staff was very friendly! The hotel itself was also very clean!

Cons:

We could not eat at the restaurant due to constructions which means that we had to look for a breakfast + dinner spot everyday. It hasn’t been made clear to us in prior.
