This hotel was not a good experience for me. My room was located by the lobby area and it was too loud. When I brought this up to the staff the previous night, he brushed things off about moving hotel rooms. I didn't like anything the about the hotel at all. The hotel charged me a $250 smoking fee and I don't even smoke. I have called several times to get a refund back and to see what proof they have but management will not call me back and it's really unprofessional to not call previous guests back over an issue.
What I didn't like was the service. I didn't like how my room was located too close to the lobby area, so you heard loud guests all night. Also, I was charged a smoking fee and don't even smoke.I have called management several times to settle this matter and have not heard back. Spend your money else where they will take your money and not even explain how I was charged a smoking fee.
Staff was very friendly
Our room was right next to the pool and it smelled like chlorine so bad. I had my boyfriend and our two kids with me. We all coughed all night from the smell.
Also there was a TON of people in the people area. Hot tub was always full beyond the amount that was allowed in there. At one point there were people taking in liquor and playing loud music in the pool area. Had to take my kids out and take them back to the room. Very disappointing.
The gym, bar, restaurants are really good. Acess to the sea foid place too
The rooms are old and small, need work
Friendly staff and very clean with good amenities!
The location was great. Easy to and from Detroit. Lots of local places to eat. Good size parking lot with no additional parking fees which is great.
I was a little disappointed in this place. The bathroom was not as clean as it could be. There was soap scum all over the shower. The conditioner in the shower was empty. I am sure they would send someone to fill it if I had asked but honestly this is something that should be checked in between guest stays, it shouldn't be up to the guest to ask. The TV seriously drove us nuts . Every time we would try to change the channel it would say that there was a new device detected and shut itself off. We tried resetting it and then after a little troubleshooting we figured out it was the remote. I did notify the front desk when we checked out. The pool area always had towels stocked and I realize that it is winter and the pool area is probably getting more traffic than normal but there was so much dead skin floating in there I could see some people getting grossed out from it. Luckily there is a rinse off area so thats a plus. The breakfast situation is a restaurant and you get a voucher for something off the menu. If you're staying on the weekend the place gets really busy and I felt like an inconvenience. I only redeemed my vouchers for a coffee and juice the one day. The next day is wasn't so busy and I ended up ordering. The breakfast was great, unless you have a gluten allergy, as theres not much to choose from and I'm not quite sure on their practices so eat at your own risk or ask the staff. The staff in the restaurant was very pleasant even when they were busy.
I can't really say i liked anything. Maybe the TV?
The rooms were placed right outside of the pool area. The rooms were not clean to my standard, which isn't high at all. The bathroom in room 1 smelled like BO as if the toilet itself was not cleaned. Couldnt tell if it was coming from the floor, toilet or shower curtain. The smell literally smacked you in the face opening the door. Both rooms smelled faintly musty like mildew. Possibly because we were next to the pool. The curtains were filthy with cheez doodle fingerprint stains on them. The desk in room 2 had a dried sauce spot on it. The bathroom in room 2 had pubic hairs on the shower wall. The carpets need cleaning throughout the facility. The staff was friendly, but thats about it.
The staff excellent
Breakfast not great
The building and staff were amazing!
We didn’t stay longer!
Nice staff and rooms
Pool area was dirty. Hot tub wasn't hot
It was really fancy lobby, staff was great.
Tiny rooms. Can't go to the restaurant at the hotel because they have a dress code. Which is crazy. I pay $300a night for a room and am not welcome at the restaurant bc im in jeans?! Oh and no microwave and the fridge was so small you couldn't fit anything.
