Beds were comfortable
Property is completed dated with the exception of the check in area. Bedsheets and towels are old and yellowish. Bathtub creeks as you step on it, feels like you’re going to fall through.
Very convenient, clean, welcoming staff, good coffee & breakfast!
I don’t have any complaints
Why is this specific hotel rated at a 3.9? I don’t understand. I was here for a work trip and picked this hotel because of its location and rating. I was highly disappointed:
1. Filthy carpets
2. Cracked/peeling finish on the tub/shower
3. No maid services
4. In-Room bathrooms in disrepair
This hotel is a solid 3… not a 3.9 or nearly a 4. You can tell it’s an old building (or looks like one) as soon as you walk in. There are 10 tier levels to the Radisson brand. This one is near the bottom of their ratings at #8 of 10 tiers. Regarding the pictures on their website: The pictures are nice but getting a closer look, you can really see the wear and tear on the building. I’ve been to Frederick on several occasions and this was, by far, the most disappointing stay that I’ve had. I was asked to travel here at the last minute and took the highest rated hotel I could find. I usually stay down the road at comparably priced but nicer hotels but, since this was last minute, I had fewer choices that fit within the per diem rates. I refuse to stay at an Econo Lodge after my last experience with them and this was only slightly better.
I wish I had taken pictures to show what I mean but I was just trying to get through my stay.
Good points:
1. I must admit that the staff was friendly and helpful. When I realized that there was no maid service, I asked for additional towels and was provided them. I also realized that no one would empty the trash, so I found a trash can in the lobby and started dropping it off there.
2. Breakfast included. They offer a good choice of eggs, sausage, waffles and other items for breakfast. Not fancy but still, a nice touch.
If you can afford better (within per diem), I suggest you find another hotel.
