Pros:

The individual that was running the front desk (Michael) was top notch. Very professional and made sure to inform each guest of various amenities as well as with the dining options at the hotel and in the surrounding area. I worked in customer service for over 30 years and have to say that the Hollywood Hotel is fortunate to have such a wonderful individual representing the company.

Cons:

It was a bit noisy, but that is to be expected in LA.

Once I was put in the correct room and realized the front of the hotel was in the back and it’s actually pretty nice looking. I seen that there was a lot of good qualities

Cons:

The first night I had a room that the outlets didn’t work the Internet didn’t work. I couldn’t watch the TV. We couldn’t charge anything. Our light kept flickering on and off. When I spoke to the front staff they told me they couldn’t do anything about it, but bring us extension cords in a fan while they did bring us the fan and the extension cord cords I felt like I was staying in an underpriced motel. I was told that I’d be placed in another room the next day, but it did take away from a whole day of us being able to watch TV or charge any of our electronics and we’re from out of state.

La atención de dos personas en recepción

Cons:

El hotel es viejo y con pésimo mantenimiento -partes del baño oxidadas y sucias, canaletas quebradas, pintura con moho, precio desproporcionado del estacionamiento para la zona-. Pero sobretodo, la atención de la gerente es una muestra de manual de lo que NO SE DEBE ser en el mundo de la hospitalidad, PÉSIMA. Solicitamos hablar con ella porque llevabamos 4 dias en el hotel sin que hicieran el cuarto (algo por lo que pagamos un hotel en lugar de un airbnb) a lo que nos contesto que debimos haber quitado el NO DISTURB sign de la puerta a las 8am para que lo hicieran ya que sino el cuarto no lo hacen (no obstante que fuimos personalmente cada mañana a la recepción a pedir que lo hicieran, cuando nos dimos cuenta de lo que pasaba), fue cínica, irónica, burlona y sobretodo claramente ínutil no resolvió absolutamente nada, por el contrario, nos culpo a nosotros por poner el DO NOT DISTURB sign. Su falta de pericia, conocimiento del mundo de la hospitalidad y voluntad para manejar un hotel se ve proporcionalmente reflejada en la mediocridad y decadencia del hotel, una lastima por el resto del equipo que a pesar de ella hacen su mejor esfuerzo pero que deben navegar con una líder sin talento ni capacidad para realizar su trabajo. Un hotel que "podria ser", limitado por todo lo que un mal líder, no va siquiera a aspirar a ser algún día. Una pena.
