The hotel was a great value, comfy with nice staff. Would stay there again happily.
The food program on the other hand was outrageously priced. A standard chicken Cesar wrap was $40 and had nothing with it. Coffee and a pastry - $28. We’d have loved to chill and eat there more over our 4 day stat but eventually started walking across the street for coffee etc. Beyond this, they charge a 5% fee on the bill, apparently for guests only, to serve amenities when we’re already paying $50 a day amenities fee. Look we’re no stranger to high prices - we live in New York, have stayed at the Parker, but this was outrageous and in speaking to the front desk at checkout the other two guests were in firm agreement.
Really fun and hip. Great room, pools, and restaurant. Bar is wonderful too!
A Lover of this property since day one & after all the years I am hear to tell you the quality has continued to grow with Amigo room now like night & day improvement ~ beautiful wood molding embracing the commune aesthetic. I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge Edward and his special attention he extended to us . Great Feelings as we depart with sweet fond memories here at ACe Palm Springs January 2026 ! Thank You all for your friendly service & vibes !
Xx, carol Santini
Great location and looks from the outside BUT - cockroaches in the bathroom, hair in the shower and damp feeling room in general. On complaining about it we’ve been transferred to another room which wasn’t clean neither - dust in the corners of the sink and hair again all around the sink. On another complaint we’ve been told „sorry, we’ll send a cleaner around.“ the whole experience started on the wrong foot and the reaction. Is just not good enough.
If you’re looking for a hotel that feels like camping this is the place for you.
There are canvas walls that makes the inside of the room feel like a tent. There’s a steamer for clothes, but after having my clothes in a suitcase I really needed an iron which was not available.
We ordered an iced coffee with a splash of almond milk & a regular hot drip coffee. We also ordered croissants. There were no napkins provided & there were none in the room. For the iced coffee we asked if it was sweetened, my wife is a type 1 diabetic, they said yes. That the cold brew comes pre sweetened. I took a sip of her iced coffee and told her it didn’t taste pre sweetened, so she ended up just drinking a little bit of it & we went out to buy some more coffee. My drip coffee needed more creamer/milk & some sugar. They didn’t provide any of that. I called down to front desk they transferred me to room service there was no answer I had to leave a message on a machine. Never got a call back.
The next morning we went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast/lunch. My wife inquired about the cold brew coming pre sweetened. The person at the counter said, “oh yeah. I remember we talked about yesterday. We laughed about it down here.” My wife is a type 1 diabetic! They were laughing about not knowing the ingredients of their food.
If you have dietary restrictions like an allergy, diabetes, heart conditions, etc. I would NOT recommend getting your food from the hotel.
The staff seems really nice, but misinformed about the policies & procedures of their hotel. Hopefully the management team can spend some more time training their employees. And for the employees, they should get comfortable asking their management team questions before giving their guests incorrect information.
-signed a dissatisfied customer that will not be returning to the Ace Hote
My one-night stay was ruined by significant, unauthorized food & beverage charges on my final bill. These were charges I never made, and I have the evidence to prove they were incorrect.
That's not the worst part. The worst part is the total lack of response from the hotel.
I have tried to resolve this for weeks. I have called the front desk twice and emailed the General Manager directly. I have been completely ignored. No response. No acknowledgment. No apology. Nothing.
It is unacceptable for a hotel to ignore a guest's report of incorrect charges. This is not a simple mistake; it's a complete failure of customer service and professionalism. I was forced to file a chargeback with my bank simply because this hotel refuses to even answer an email.
This was an awful, stressful experience. Stay elsewhere if you value basic customer service.
Always a fun time at The Ace! A low key pool party place but also very kid/dog friendly
Very clean room, Staff were nice and welcoming, and plenty of parking on the property
I love this hotel! Very clean and the grounds are well looked after. Great size gym and well kept equipment. The main pool is amazing! So relaxing. The room was very comfortable.
The pool was fantastic for our family! Would love more gluten free options on the menu but over it was a great experience experience!
This USED to be a good hotel but its standards have dropped drastically. It was so bad that I changed hotels after one day and ate the money I’d already paid to stay at The Ace thru Booking.com
My only advice is steer clear. Here’s why:
-The music by the pool is SO INSANELY LOUD you cannot even think, and it goes ALL DAY LONG (something like 12 pm to 9 pm). The DJ also had terrible taste (think bad remixes of JLo type pop music and nonstop Unst Unst). They used to have cool chill music at a normal level. I used to look forward to that aspect of the hotel. Now it’s trying to be Vegas and it’s an absolute headache. When we tried to escape to our room, the rumbling of the bass was even more amplified at a distance. It was the furthest thing from relaxing.
-Sneaky Kleenex box cover in bathroom tells you not just that they won’t wash towels if you don’t ask for it, they also WON’T TIDY YOUR ROOM unless you ask. They will literally only come in your room to replenish the mini bar while leaving your bed unmade and room a total mess. How do they justify this?? The environment!?? I have never experienced this in a hotel. If I wanted an Airbnb I would stay at one. I chose to stay at a hotel. I only found this out after leaving the room for several hours and coming back to find it a mess.
-More to that point, when my husband and I ordered room service, our entire order came in a brown paper to go bag filled with cardboard takeout boxes along with plastic utensils (ala Uber Eats). Not a plate to be found. My salad in fact came in 3 mini boxes - two separate salad boxes and a third box for the chicken I added to the salad. what in the world?!?!? This was beyond trashy. When I called to ask for a plate the receptionist got in a screaming fight with me. Don’t gaslight me into thinking this is normal. room service this was NOT
Stayed here overnight on a business trip. I ate dinner at the pool and was able to chill out and relax. It felt like a mini vacation in the middle of my work trip.
Room and ambiance was amazing! Loved it!
This was my first and only stay at Ace Hotel Palm Springs, and it will also be my last. I’ve been visiting Palm Springs for over 15 years and never had an issue like this at other hotels.
After checking out, I was hit with a $350 fraudulent smoking charge. No one smoked in my room — there was no smell, no butts, and no evidence of tobacco at all. The only people smoking were on the patio next door. When I called, Candace told me it was “due to an environmental change in the smoke alarm,” which is a ridiculous explanation. I asked to speak to management, but no one ever followed up.
On top of that, I had to call back multiple times because they even forgot to apply my voucher credit at checkout. Between the fraudulent smoking charge, billing mistakes, and dismissive staff, the whole place felt sloppy and dishonest. The general manager and staff still have not responded, which has forced me to dispute the charge with my credit card company.
To me, this feels like nothing short of fraud and theft — an unfair attempt to take money from a guest without proof. There are far better options in Palm Springs where guests are treated fairly and not subjected to false charges. I would never recommend staying here.
After reading other reviews, I can clearly see I’m not the only person they’ve tried to scam with fraudulent extra charges to the room.
Nice decor, staff, and amenities.
The customer service is excellent. Pool and DJ and Bar were great. Parking got full on weekends, but ok. Convenient location to everything. Cleanliness of room was not good and smell of urine from previous dogs was bad, repairs were needed in room as well (no lock on balcony door).
Be warned! I really didn’t like the resort fees not included in the total price and billed when checking out! Another example of sneaky fees were a corkage fee for ordering a bottle of wine from THEIR MENU. On top of all this was 20% service charge at the pool already added and not clearly called out. Leaves a poor taste in my mouth.
Martini at the front desk was the best thing about the Ace Hotel! He was an anngel! Unfortunately the rooms were musty and damp, and the wall coverings were dusty with the rug in between the bed looking like it had never been vacuumed. We had high hopes for the Ace Hotel, and with some effort, it could be a comfy spot.
This is a fun place for someone who wants to enjoy the music and pool parties — very social atmosphere. Great for fun group getaways! I’d be happy to return when I’m not just looking for a bed, but I was there because I had a flight canceled and it was best price and closest to the airport. :)
Restaurant was fine but $$$. I paid $50 for wings that were exactly like the ones I buy frozen to cook at home and a salad.
If you’re looking for luxury and quiet, this is not the place on the weekend. My bed was pretty firm, kind of like a futon, but soft pillows and good linens. I slept fine except that it seemed many guests were at the pool until late (the party goes until 2am) and I got to hear entire loud convos as they made their way back to their rooms. If you can’t with hearing people walking above you be sure to get a 2nd floor room.
Terrible, terrible hotel. Looks nice, but is truly awful.
Firstly, the staff, grumpy on the front desk, unwilling to help with basic requests. Firstly saying I checked in on the wrong day. I hadn't, they couldn't read their own bookings.
Secondly, the frankly terrible music by the pool, a "DJ" playing dreadful house music all day, not only is it dated, this place is not Ibiza, turn it down or even better OFF.
Thirdly, on arriving a group of adults were drinking whiskey from a bottle in reception. Really sets the tone, hotel didn't care.
Room wasn't ready past check in time either, so we were moved into a suite with no bed for our daughter. She had to sleeping on a knackered old roll bed with a mattress less than an inch thick.
To add insult to injury, these fools charged me TWICE for the same room, I've emailed with a vein hope they might refund me, but realistically I am doing a charge back as they were so rude when I was there.
And let me finish on the front desk, there were no towels by the pool. I called 3 times, then eventually walked to the front desk to ask for some. The lady on the desk took GREAT offence to me asking for towels 3 times over TWO HOURS and told me it wasn't her problem. Well, I guess it is, here's my review of you. They also accused me of smoking in the room! i've never smoked in my life and there was a three year old in the room. UNACCEPTABLE
Truly terrible hotel. There are better options within 500 yards on the same street. Avoid.
