Property is dated and in need of repairs but very noisy, something that’s not their fault however a broom and a mop would prevent your feet from turning black. No excuses for cleanliness sorry.
I liked the convenience of the area location and that I felt safe. But it was very difficult getting in and out of the parking lot. It wasn’t run down or up to do. It wasn’t dirty but not really clean looking. The price was a good deal and would stay there again if in that area.
Property does not look as nice as the pictures. As a single female, I did not feel safe initially driving up a big hill with blasting loud music from the bar/tavern adjacent to the property. It is a motel style not a hotel, which is not safe. The door did not close all the way with a gap. I was so tired from my flight arriving in at 1am, that I was too tired to leave and find a new place. I wouldn't recommend unless you like to drink and party.
Close to interstate
I found it on this app to get a room to stay in for starting a shift to work as RN
Great place to stop for a few hours. Not a destination spot.
The neighbourhood was safe, albeit not pedestrian-friendly (thank City of Hoover for that), hotel was not in the greatest of conditions, but I did feel safe & secure there. Housekeeping definitely needs to step up, as I found a few small things from previous visits, as well as a cockroach as I was packing up to check-out. Showerhead and faucet in the bathroom were very, very loose to the point where I was afraid to give any more than a light touch out of fear they would fall out of the wall. But on the positive side, they did not process a deposit for incidentals, etc. Staff were great, and even stopped by my hotel room to bring me my ID Card, which I failed to retrieve during check-in.
There are restaurants and a Publix supermarket nearby, but would be best if you are able to drive, since the City of Hoover apparently doesn't believe in sidewalks or pedestrian crossings.
The staff was friendly and the room was clean and basic.
This place is an abject dump. It’s filthy and it’s falling apart. There was someone else’s butt dust on the toilet rim when we got there.
It’s grim and should probably be shut down. At $75/night it is probably overpriced by about $70, although the bed was surprisingly comfortable.
Stay away.
Place is a dump but ok for one night just to cleanup and sleep. Very old and in rough shape. Right next door to the interstate so loud vehicle traffic.
It’s was not a good decision
Difficult to get into parking lot. The room was dark. Floors were dirty. No towels. Hair dryer was broken. Noisy area. Slept with TV on low and it was fine.
Bed was very comfortable. Refrigerator and microwave in room.
Front desk lady was excellent. Only issue we have is cleanliness. No reason if you’re paying someone to clean that they don’t sweep and mop the floors. Bottom of our feet was black because of the floor. Price is very good for what you get but NO reason to be dirty except someone not done by their job.
The property was fine, but expidia is terrible. I am 18 in the military trying to get a hotel and i cant
Need a remodeling
Older family-run motel but very clean and the room didn’t smell funny like some places do. It had everything we needed for one night.
There drugs transactions going on this property, people call for drugs to be delivered and the dealer pull up beside a car where someone is sitting in their car and a transaction is made, it's so obvious one night something bad is going to happen and we all know drug dealers have guns and drama, this place needs security on the property especially at night.
Conveniently located to the UAB campus and the music venues in that area. It was quiet. Nice tv, but remote wasn't matched up well enough to look at tv guide, etc. Great space for just catching a night's rest.
Room was older. Bed was clean. Floor was dirty. Tv remote didn’t work. Just not a room for me
We only stayed b/c transporting my mother to another hotel is difficult. Door lock broken, smokers outside, amenities non existent. I did complain but was not able to even obtain a discount. DO NOT EVER STAY HERE!!
