Location on the water was great! Close to the interstate was convenient. Several restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful walking area.
Been was too soft for my liking. Also, one side seemed lower than the other side. Shower was a bit complicated to operate.
Outstanding location with a nice view.
Elevators were dicey. Bathroom fixtures clever but underwhelming. In-house breakfast totally institutional in quality.
staff very friendly and rooms were very nice
We booked The Landing at Hampton Marina for my wife's 50th birthday over July 4th weekend — a group of 40 people, a lot of moving parts, and a holiday weekend to boot. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this team was ready for us.
Check-in with a group our size could have been a mess, but the front desk crew — Crystal, Prince, McKayla, Frances, and LaMonica — managed it with patience and professionalism that set the tone for the whole weekend. Frances kept the ice coming (more than once!) and was consistently helpful throughout our stay. The text-message service the front desk offered was genuinely convenient — quick, responsive, no waiting on hold.
We also want to recognize Richard, the General Manager, and Andrea, the Director of Sales, and Delina in Sales Ops. Richard is a true solution-finder who clearly sets the tone for how this team operates, and you can feel that leadership throughout every interaction with the staff. Andrea made the entire planning process — from the contract to the room block — simple and flexible from day one, which took so much stress off coordinating a group of 40. Delina, in Sales Ops, deserves special recognition too — in the weeks leading up to our weekend, she over-communicated every detail to make sure our plan came together smoothly. That level of proactive care before we even arrived made all the difference.
We did have one hiccup — the AC in our room wasn't cooling when we got there. Nate from maintenance was in our room within 15 minutes of the call and had it running cold in no time. Fast, polite, professional — exactly how you want an issue handled.
Housekeeping deserves a huge shoutout too. Miss Michelle went out of her way to clean and prep an extra room early so it would be ready for a guest arriving ahead of schedule, and she made sure we had a larger trash can in our suite to accommodate hosting our whole group all weekend. Juanita was also fantastic — came quickly every time we needed anything.
Dinner at Copper Barley on Thursday was a highlight thanks to our server, Kenya. She was incredible from start to finish — attentive, quick, and her smile genuinely never faded, even serving a big group on a holiday weekend.
The Fourth of July itself was the centerpiece of the whole weekend. We rented a couple of cabanas on the rooftop, and the experience was unforgettable — Andrea and Delina, both usually behind the scenes, jumped in as two of our bartenders, along with Jen as the third. The generosity and energy they brought to our group was incredible — it felt like they genuinely wanted to celebrate with us, not just serve us. The DJ kept the entire rooftop moving all night. It was one of those experiences you don't forget.
Five stars, without hesitation. If you're planning a milestone celebration — birthday, anniversary, reunion — The Landing at Hampton Marina will make it something everyone remembers.
Location.
Nothing
A complete failure in operational integrity and basic customer service. During check-in, an issue arose and I was given direct verbal confirmation that the reservation would be canceled without penalty and no charge would be processed. They lied. My account was charged the full amount despite their explicit guarantees. Deceptive billing practices make this an establishment I cannot recommend under any circumstances.
Absolutely beautiful
The view was great
The AC unit struggled to keep the room at a decent temperature. The room was at about 75 until the late evening early morning.
I loved that it was on the marina and that the rooms were up to date and modern.
At check in I had to swipe my credit card multiple times because of the dates POS system that causes my first card to be locked .The AC unit is super loud and the water pressure for the showers were very low.
Nice employees, clean rooms
No AC, no form of compensation for that fact. Room was almost 80°f even at night
Het personeel was heel beleefd.
De liften waren bijna allemaal kapot.
I absolutely loved the view from my room, the cleanness , the location and especially the staff was beyond helpful, kind and friendly. BIG SHOUT OUT to the manager Ant and the bartender Lee y’all were GREAT!!!!
We were in the area for Sail250. This hotel had three elevators but essentially only one working some of the time. We tried to take the stairs to the lobby, but they lead to an alarmed door to the outside. While we were there, the fire department showed up due to someone being stuck in the elevator, so we were led to the service elevator.
We were staying here with a large group (would not book here ourselves). We were lucky in room assignment -- our AC worked ok (unlike some others), our temp in the shower could be regulated (unlike some others). The website shows a very nice pool we planned to use, but it's not filled (they claimed a crack). Breakfast was ok the first two days -- inedible scrambled eggs the third day resembled opaque yellow Jello. I have stayed at other Tapestry Collection locations which were absolutely charming and lovely; Hilton should be embarrassed by this hotel.
3 elevators and only one working maybe 50 % of the time. Want to take the stairs to the lobby? Yeah you can't. Leads to an alarmed door which leads to the outside. While we were there, the fire department showed up due to someone being stuck. Our air conditioning was noisy and one night kept us awake due to cutting off and on every few seconds. Our double bed (we had two of those) had a comforter sandwiched between two flat sheets that had us wondering until we pulled them apart. The comforter had blood stains on it. The general appearance of the place was old, and run down. The staff was nice and apologized for our reports. I've stayed at quite a few Hilton hotels and i'm sure Hilton would be shocked at this property.. The review AI wouldn't allow less than "Terrible", which is why I gave it that. It deserves a minus review..
