Great location with good sized comfy beds. Room was an ok size with a nice view of the liver building. Restaurant was nice to eat in if you didnt want to have to leave the hotel.
Stayed here for 4 nights and got my towles change once after having to ask 2 times for fresh sheets on the 3rd day. No soap and when I asked for some (twice) we got shower get. Our room was not cleaned once or a bed made during our stay. Just think when I stay and pay for a hotel I pay for clean towles and bedding!
Good location
Nice hotel
Location
Bath was dirty, room was freezing and heating didn’t work. Bed was like sleeping on a rock. Paid for a late check out and was disturbed twice within the hour I had paid for to say I needed to get out!
Location, it was nice decor and spotless
Nothing
I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past; however, due to a noticeable drop in standards, I will not be returning. My most recent stay was for one night.
Before our room was ready, the hotel charged us £5 to store two small schoolbags for one hour. Considering the price we paid for the room, this felt unnecessarily stingy, especially as the storage room where our bags were kept was completely empty. I was surprised to see a charge for basic luggage storage — is this now common practice?
Additionally, the person I was with needed to use the lobby toilet facilities, but both cubicles were out of order, and the accessible toilet was also closed. I raised this with the receptionist, who was unhelpful and disappeared into a back room without returning to assist. We were forced to leave the hotel and find a toilet elsewhere, which is unacceptable for a four-star establishment. I also noticed an adult vending machine in the men’s restroom selling vibrating rings and lubricant, which felt somewhat out of place for this type of hotel.
On a positive note, the room itself was clean and comfortable. However, due to the issues mentioned above, I will not be staying here again.
Exceptional value for money. Staff very friendly and efficient.
location, staff
the pillows were so bad my wife and i had a dreadful night sleep which made my business meeting the next day challenging and also a long drive back home quite difficult
It's very close to Everton football club and in a nice part of the city
The bar closed too early
Location and building
We were extremely disappointed with our stay at this hotel.
On arrival, we were charged £5 to store our bags while waiting for our room. Considering the amount we had already paid to stay here, this felt unnecessary and poor customer service.
Unfortunately, things did not improve once we got to our room. There was a strong bad smell coming from the sink, and there was visible damp around the window area. This made the room feel unpleasant and poorly maintained.
We also paid an additional £20 for a late check-out at 1pm. Despite this, someone at 12 o’clock opened our room door while we were still in bed, which was completely unacceptable and very uncomfortable.
I don’t like leaving negative reviews, which is why I raised these issues with the receptionist at check-out. However, he showed zero interest in addressing our concerns. We also emailed the hotel when we returned home, but the response we received was simply not good enough — it would have been better not to respond at all.
We understand that mistakes can happen, but we gave the hotel more than one opportunity to resolve the issues. Unfortunately, nothing was done.
For the money we paid, this stay was absolutely not good enough. Sadly, we feel we have no choice but to leave this review and warn other guests.
Very good location .
Was clean and the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming
Just the location!
The room.
The customer service.
Lovely
Location and staff excellent.
Rooms very cold. Asked if temperature in room could be increased and it was only minimally increased. Made no difference to the room temperature. Still very cold.
Upgraded to Prestige room with nice view, excellent shower and very comfortable bed
Didn’t stay long enough to utilise bar or restaurant so unable to comment
We first checked in around 3:15pm on Monday the 9th of Feb we asked the women on the desk have I got a bath as that was the main reason I booked it.
She told me she’s sorted me a lovely room out! She was so lovely even give us a late check out as a treat for my boyfriends birthday.
It was a lovely room only downside was the bed an pillows but apart from that it was lovely night stay. Could do with a fan
