Bai Dinh Garden Resort & Spa Ninh Binh

The property was clean and the layout was different experience. Dining was ok. A little far from everything but easy by grab. Do not book the tour from them, book online or locally. They conned us and charged us double. you will get the same tour for half the price online viator, get your guide or any travel sites. If you do then make sure you get the price fixed before you leave. Easy to get to the attractions via grab you don’t need a guide

The property was great but a bit off from Ninh Binh, had to take a 30 min car ride every time

The staff there were so nice. The property itself is stunning, nice and quiet but there is access to food nearby. Breakfast had decent options and the goat soup with scorched rice I ordered for room service was incredible. It is not too far from main attractions and since transportation from Grab or scooter is an option, it makes it pretty easy. I would definitely come back here again

Definitely, this is a great hotel to visit and stay. The service is completely excellent and the dinning is fabulous to us.
In our room had some problems in showing room, but the staff fixed and later change our room very quickly. We all had a very happy trip and memories there.
We spend four nights!! Breakfast is nice and dinning service is even better!!
Very recommend to foreigners.

I will definitely return if I were to return Ninh Binh. I wished my stay was longer this time as well. I hope to stay for about a week or so next time 😄

Excellent! Such a beautiful little place with amazing gardens and scenery. The highlight was absolutely the staff. They were incredibly caring, helpful and attentive. The location is near Mua Caves and Trang An boat launch. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

We had great time staying at this resort. We stayed in a room on the second floor with a pool view for 4 nights. The room had vaulted ceiling; it was very spacious, clean and very comfortable. The resort has nice garden and pool. Food at the restaurant was delicious. And staff was absolutely amazing. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
Ms Jade Dao organized 3 terrific private tours for us and also took care of all transfers/transportation that we needed. Ms Dao answered all our questions and was always ready to take care of any concerns that we had from the moment we made our reservation. Our tour guide Tuan was very knowledgeable and certainly made our trips even more memorable.
Overall, we had an amazing experience and certainly recommend it.

People

They get an A for effort! Wonderful staff and property, I recommend it for that. Not so much for the area - many restaurants in town, but everything was "not in season". Villagers are very friendly and welcoming.

The hotel had very little hot water. We ordered from the hotel restaurant 3 times and it took approximately 2 hours to receive our food each time. The orders, when received, were never correct. Many orders left out an entire dish from the order, leaving a family member with nothing to eat. Most of the menu was not available. The hotel advertises that is has tours available as part of their service. We asked about tours a few times and never received a response. The TV requires you to log-in to your own private Netflix, Hulu or Amazon accounts. The WiFi in one of our rooms did not work. I would not normally complain about a hotel, especially during times of COVID; however, this was a pricey stay and far from what was advertised, this is the worst experience we have had in any Southeast Asia hotel or homestay and I want to ensure others know so they consider the amount of money they are investing in their trip.

The setting & standard of rooms were okay. Unfortunately the bathroom shower hot water was extremely hard to regulate & was scolding or freezing. The Restaurant food was okay but the staff need alot of hospitality training as they don't come to your table to check if your drink is empty. They bring you your dinner with no cutlery or chop sticks. Also need to work on their personal presentation. Overall, l wouldn't recommend or stay there again as it's 30 KM from Tam Coc.

This resort is really quiet and peaceful. It was hard to find in the first place but our grab driver was able to find it after. Overall I would say this hotel is really good, and beautiful but need to improve on the taste of the food.

Pros
- The service of the hotel is excellent. The staff will greet you every morning and check to see if everything is alright during your stay.
- The hotel is like brand new where all furniture and applicants are like brand new
- The fruit juice for breakfast is fresh juice. Like literally from fresh fruits.

Cons
- There were various choices of cuisine for dinner but the food tastes very average. We tried the western and the local dishes such as pho & burgers.
- During our stay, there were other guest's kids shouting early in the morning which woke us up. I think better policies will be needed on this.

Lovely place to relax. Friendly staff, location a bit remote from restaraurants/sights but easy to get taxis so wasn’t really a problem. Rooms are great (Netflix was a nice bonus!). Genuinely gorgeous surroundings! Would recommend.
We did notice that it can occasionally become overrun with children which is worth noting if you aren’t travelling as a family. If you are I think this place might be even more perfect for you!

Got picked up at Ninh Binh train station and taken directly to property. We were met by friendly staff and informed that our room was already available (we had not asked for early check in). Taken to our room and shown facilities. Stunning location close to some of the most beautiful scenery Viet Nam has to offer - just a ride on the moped (which we could rent from property) through landscape was worth it. Room was fantastic, big and clean and had all we needed. Pool was right outside room. Staff were helpful and always attentive. Sorry we only had one night!

The style of the hotel and the rooms were very nice. The reception desk didn't have a place for the guests to sit and discuss things like excursions or other questions they had about the hotel or the area so every time we went to ask a question it was pretty uncomfortable and uninviting. the hotel advertises itself as "hotel and spa" when in fact it is not really a spa. We booked the spa for a couples massage and the two staff members who performed the massage seemed to have no idea what they were doing. One of them was also the bartender / cashier at the restaurant and we got the impression that she had no massage experience. They should not advertise as a "spa" when they are not equipped to provide such services. the restaurant was nice but they did seem to have a problem with an influx of pigeons. It's an open-air restaurant so it is understandable that you would be in contact with nature but there were many pigeons and they did defecate right next to the dinner table which makes the dining experience a little less pleasant. The hotel location was good. there's not much going on outside the hotel but it is very close to the pagoda and you can either walk or ride a bike there.

Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. Location very near temple but away from town. Room was clean and inviting. Water was too hot but fixable. Overall, I would stay here again just to relax and be closer to temple.
