Amazing trip

Downstairs very nice, upstairs not very nice.
Pros:

We loved the spa area, it was very nice, clean. It was handy to have spare towels about.
The restaurant was very nice, we only had breakfast which was adequate. We didn’t have food there but I was impressed by the look and feel of the place.

Cons:

I feel for the nearly £300 spent for the stay the bedroom was inadequate. It felt like a mild upgrade on a Travelodge. The tv was scratched, the bedside table was wonky, the air con switch was damaged, there were dents or chips in the bath tub. I can’t complain about the cleanliness though.

Pros:

Es war ein super Familienhotel. Die Kinder hatten ein bequemes Schlafsofa. Im Forye gab es für die Kleinen auch eine Rutsche mit Bällebad, einen Kicker und eine XBox.
Das Hotel hat einen Pool. Es gibt sogar eine BadeanzugSchleudermaschine. Handtücher, Badetücher, es war wirklich alles notwendige da. . Auf den Zimmern gab es Tee und Kaffeepulver. Auf den Bädern war überall Seife und sogar Handcreme von Ritual. Die Zimmer waren klimatisiert (sehr leise).
Wir haben die Zeit dort wirklich genossen.

Cons:

Leider gibt es nur einen Gemeinschaftsparkplatz, der nach 24 Std 24 pound kostet.

One might family stay
Pros:

Lovely one night stay at the Novotel. Very friendly staff in the bar/restaurant especially Lit who made sure my 4 year old was happy and accommodated her milk allergy. And Joyce and Anita ensuring everything was ok for us. Very comfortable beds and we didn’t hear a peep all night. Good pool and facilities. My daughter enjoyed the kids play area. The food in the bar was tasty and they also cater for vegans and vegetarians. Only 20 minutes walk from the waterfront. Definitely a friendly family hotel.

We would stay again as the stay was quite pleasant
Pros:

We actually made a mistake booking this hotel as we wanted one nearer the city but it turned out to be ok. Not too far from the city and plenty of parking (expensive but normal I suppose for most hotels).
Breakfast was good and staff were friendly.
When I told them it was my birthday I had a card and some welsh cakes on a chocolate covered plate in my room. A really lovely gesture.

Cons:

The room needs a deep clean as it smelt musty. Air conditioning cannot be controlled by room occupier (weird but luckily we could open a window). No fridge in the room and they didn’t replenish the tea bags. The shower completely flooded the bathroom. The room was terribly bland.

Great location, friendly staff.
Pros:

The staff, the location and facilities are great. 20-25 minutes to the beaches (Barry Island). City road close by taking roughly 15-20 minutes (All the best food places). You’ll definitely be spoilt for choice. Little kids play area including an xbox was great idea. My kids loved this. clean pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room which were perfectly adequate. Rooms had good working irons and hair dryer

Cons:

The Hotel was overall lovely, however a few things definitely need to be improved.
Breakfast- Definitely not much variety for vegetarians. If you want a fried egg you will be charged extra. However, the waiting staff gave us some for free. Pancake machine is very slow, waited 20 minutes as there was an issue with it. I had a 3 year old who was adamant to have pancakes.
Rooms- Definitely not the greatest. Liveable, Yes! The room had a stench of sewerage. In fact the whole level 2 had a sewerage smell. Really off putting. We did complain about this. Maintenance was sent but whatever he did, didn’t help to be honest. The bathrooms definitely need an upgrade. Albeit cleanish we had a huge rust corrosion on the side of the bath. It was horrendous. At this point we didn’t bother complaining because we had young kids and it was just a hassle having to move rooms. Will attach a picture. bed sheets had some stains, more so the kind that dont wash out. This hotel is really let down by the quality of the rooms. Maybe we ended up getting the worse of the bunch. Parking is also expensive, £24 ish for an overnight stay so if you’re there for a few days bear this in mind. Would not park outside as we noticed car windows smashed. safer to park in there car park. We paid a lot of money for our stay and feel the quality of rooms defo let me down. Would i stay here again, probably not.
