It is a pity that the restaurant is no longer open. However the staff served drinks of all kinds and helped us order food and supplied crockery and cutlery and made us feel welcome to use the dining area.
Generous breakfast served on request in the morning.
No restaurant on location although the bar/pub seems quite popular
We were travelling from Austria to England and for an overnight stop near the motorway it was very convenient.
Unfortunately, we thought the restaurant would be open for dinner but we found a decent place 15 minutes walk away
The breakfast was excellent. The portions were good and there was quite a variety of ham, salami, cheese, marmalades, butter, and rolls - plus a freshly cooked hardboiled egg. The coffee was also very good.
There was a slight smell in the bathroom. It appeared to be emanating from the shower drain. After I ran some water, the smell disappeared. I suspect that the room had not been occupied for some time, so the water had evaporated from the drain pipe.
Stayed one night, no sleep because there was loud music from next door until 3.30am. Had to close the window which made room unbearably hot. NO breakfast available even though booking websites advertise this option, and was told we had to go into town to a cafe instead. No offer of a kettle. Meals in restaurant don't accept card payment. We were sent to cash point in town. I think we were the only guest, not surprised.
Take my advice and stay somewhere more welcoming.
- Despite having arranged for late check-in, nobody was there to let us in; we had to wait a good quarter of an hour in the cold
- The woman who let us in in the end had no idea we had a reservation and asked for payment (of course we had paid in advance)
- Room not really clean: some dirt on the floor, sheets with stains, some of the towels smelled, mouldy shower; you can hear your neighbors coughing. According to the ad, the room was supposed to have hardwood floors - these turned out to be tiles. WiFi information not correct.
- in the morning, after we had returned the key, the woman in the hotel still couldn't find our reservation and asked for our passports. At this point, we were in the parking lot, in the rain, with our luggage. Absolutely unacceptable.
Overall: probably acceptable for a night, but definitely too expensive. For that amount, you can get a clean room and breakfast included in that part of Germany.
Pas facile à trouver.
