Spacious and comfortable stay with a nice view, despite minor refurbishment works.
Pros:

Score: 8.5/10
Stayed for 2 nights (9–11 Jan). The hotel was undergoing step-by-step refurbishment, which caused some minor inconvenience, but it was understandable. We were upgraded to a very spacious room with a nice view, which we really appreciated. Overall a comfortable stay and good value, with improvements clearly in progress.

Pros:

Location was walking distance from Hermosa Pier (18 min) for a nice bike ride along the strand.

Cons:

It's on Aviation Blvd., so it's a little noisy if the sliding door was open, but if it was closed, we slept just fine.

Hotel price is high. Should lower it more.

Polite staff and woman who refilled the free breakfast area.

Cons:

Had late evening check-in because I competed in an event at the Hermosa Beach Community Theatre down the street. When I called after 10pm, nobody answered the phone. The curtains need to be full curtains that I can close so that no sunlight comes into my room. I needed to sleep in and couldn't because of that. Hot tub was closed (broken). Should have a water cooler in the lobby for guests to drink water.

I liked the fridge and size of the tv

Cons:

I needed Wifi so I could use my laptop for work and it stopped working the first night I was there. I called the front desk and they told me it would be tomorrow. The next day around 10am I asked the front desk if it was fixed and they said it was being reset. Fast forward to 4pm still with no WiFi I called the front desk and was told people were coming out at 4:30pm to fix it. I felt like I was just being strung along because the WiFi never got fixed the remainder of my stay and I wasn’t able to work properly because of it. Was very unprofessional and would never have stayed here if I knew there wasn’t going to be WiFi

Pros:

The room itself was definitely a positive aspect. Unfortunately, it turned out that the hotel was undergoing renovations, and I was not informed about this in any way. Due to the renovation, we were unable to use the hotel's additional facilities, such as the swimming pool.

The breakfast was also below expectations. In the area where it was "served," there wasn’t even a place to sit and eat. Only two small tables were provided, so we had to take the food back to our room.

Additionally, there were no waffles as advertised, nor any hot options like scrambled eggs or sausages :(

Great location with some views of the ocean. Come back after they remodel.
Pros:

Great location. Good price for location. Big rooms.

Cons:

They were remodeling the floor above us and then our floor. They were moving all the furniture from our floor while we were staying there. I’m sure they emptied our floor the day we left. It will probably be much better when they finish renovations
