My second visit to this hotel. There wasn’t a kitchen available and we had 2 queen beds. Very basic, decent hotel with a great location. Really good breakfast buffet.
Brilliant location close to harbour, restaurants, shops and bus stops. Appreciated the kitchen area and the breakfast was superb.
Room was a little dark.
Overall I really enjoyed the stay at this hotel. The old timey, comforting vibe was super great and relaxing. I stayed in the suite with a party of 6, and we surprisingly had a ton of space. There was a separate upper loft floor with a bed, a bedroom on the main floor, and a pull out sofa bed, all of which slept two people comfortably. Our room was 328, right in the middle of the highest floor. The view of the balcony was amazing, you can see the street in front and get a pretty good view of the harbor and water. The breakfast was decent, with good service and assigned seating and a decent variety of good food. I personally enjoyed the check-in to breakfast, as well as the front door locking (you need room card to get in) after 8pm, a very nice security feature. While a bit old, this stay was very enjoyable, in a very nice location, and definitely got the job done for vacation.
Awesome location. Excellent service. Very comfortable bed. Clean room. Good buffet breakfast included. Underground parking available.
Great location, awesome breakfast, nice facilities.
They gave us Room 121, which had a kitchen (pleasant surprise) but was only about 20 feet from the dining area entrance. In the morning there was lots of noisy conversation audible to us. I would have preferred a different room, above the ground floor. In hindsight I should have specified this.
Wonderful, friendly, cooperative staff. Great morning, breakfast, with the option of going to the Pendry Inn for a few dollars more, since my partner has coeliac disease the location is the best in Victoria, was wonderful, walking possibilities, great restaurants, nearby, and beautiful grounds.
Staff so friendly, about everything from parking on the street to where to see in our short visit.
Room was not quiet.
Perfect location, breakfast was great and staff were very helpful. This is a great location for taking in all that downtown Victoria has to offer!
The bed was on the second floor and bathroom on the main floor, I think for older travellers having everything on one level is easier but as long as people are aware ahead of time when they book the room. That was the only room when I was booking available.
Very spacious and staff were friendly
Nothing to complain
situation, petit dejeuner
bruit dans les couloirs pour les chambres au 1er etage
Everything was amazing! Breakfast best I've ever had at a hotel. My wife and I were on our honeymoon and the upgraded our room to a suite with no extra charge. We had complimentary desert plate (4 deserts) waiting in our room the second day. It was an amazing stay and in future only hotel we will stay at in Victoria.
Lovely woodwork following an older style. Excellent staff & location.
Handicapped visitors beware. Breakfast buffet up half-dozen stairs, breakfast eating area down half-dozen stairs (although a lovely view).
No grab-bars in tub/shower; toilet a low model.
Good sized loft suite with functional kitchenette and comfortable king bed. Secure underground parking.
Breakfast was very limited with no heart healthy eating options.
Suite wasn’t very soundproof and we were disturbed by noise from the adjacent suite.
The was a note in our room at check-in apologizing for the noise from nearby construction and leaving a “small token of appreciation” comprising of 2 individual candies! Really, why bother.
Location
Room poorly cleaned, hair in bathtub, and on bathroom floor, and I mean a lot of hair. When room was refreshed, pillows were left on the floor. Room is a loft, and the upper area where the bed is was very hot, made sleeping uncomfortable.
