Important information:

Pet-friendly rooms are limited to Standard Rooms (selected Newcastle or Buckingham Rooms) located on the 1st floor and must be reserved in advance. Please contact the hotel to check the availability of pet-friendly rooms.

Please note that dogs will incur an additional charge of CAD 30 per room per night or CAD 90 per week.

If a pet-friendly room is not reserved in advance, the hotel reserves the right to refuse the reservation at the guest's expense.

Please note that this property can accommodate dogs but will not accommodate other types of pets.

Parking is available for CAD 18 per night. Parking availability is not guaranteed until check-in.

There is a small set of stairs on the 1st floor. Guests with mobility requirements are advised to contact the hotel in advance to ensure they are allocated a room on the 2nd floor with elevator access. Loft suites include stairs, with the bathroom located on the main floor, and are not recommended for guests with mobility concerns.

Reservations of 6 or more rooms are considered group bookings and will be subject to group terms and conditions, including cancellation fees. The hotel reserves the right to refuse or request cancellation of any group reservation if a contract agreement is not signed in advance.

A CAD 2.50 per night eco fee is applied to support large-scale carbon reduction projects as part of our sustainability efforts. This fee helps fund conservation and environmental initiatives, verified by Green Step Solutions, ensuring that our environmental footprint is minimized through energy-efficient and eco-friendly practices.

A CAD 0.25 per night fee is applied to support the Indigenous Tourism Destination Fund, which helps fund Indigenous-led tourism projects across Canada.

A Credit Card is mandatory at check-in. A damage deposit of up to CAD 250 is required upon arrival via a credit card. The same will be released at checkout, subject to an inspection of the property.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Pros:

Great location. Breakfast was very good and served in a lovely room.

Cons:

Was offered an "upgrade" with a bed in a loft. They didn't mention that toilet wasn't convenient. Not comfortable ( or even safe!) if you need to get up in the night.

Satisfying but a bit sketchy.
Pros:

Phoning the hotel some days before arrival I had a very helpful staff member answering my questions.
It was very conveniently located. The breakfast room is delightful even if very busy. The breakfast staff was also very helpful. It doesn't have bell staff but the front desk staff were accommodating in helping me with my suitcase up and down the stairs. The back door the garden was also a quicker one to use for downtown access.

Cons:

There was no information about the hotel - that the garden was theirs and could be used as a useful street access; that there was a private spa outfit in the back alley which was noisy and uncleared who owed it, what is the connection between Penrday House, Hill? House and Huntingdon lodge? My basic bedroom had no carpet, had no comfortable sitting chair. The hotel fireplace chairs were not very comfortable, nor in enough quantity. My first night included noisy plumbing work commencing at 11PM with no notice to us guests as to what was going on.

Excellent hotel with friendly staff, great location and rooms
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent, fruit, waffles or pancakes, eggs, sausages, muffins etc. It was very well organized and the staff made sure that everyone was seated quickly.

Cons:

We have no complaints

Pros:

Great location and very friendly staff. The breakfast was also good.

Cons:

The hotel has some parking issues to resolve and they can reduce the friction at check in by giving their guests some advance warning.
For example- please don't tell me that after having parked my car in a spot and at check in that I need to move the car to a new location. There is an internal and external car park, and the spaces are allocated to individual guests. They don't seem to have enough car parking spots for all guests but we were lucky to get one space. The staff were very accomodating and helpful.

Great Value/Lovely!
Pros:

Location/convenience to many attractions and the Ferry Port. Good feeling of security and safety in the neighborhood and also within the property.

Nice stay in Victoria
Pros:

Nice room with a good sized balcony. Good sized bed and bathroom. Breakfast was quite good as well. A fair selection, small buffet. Walking distance to the port, city centre and beautiful city park.
Views of the harbour are very nice.

Cons:

Noise from the ice machine. People don't bother closing the door when collecting ice.
The construction across the road is quite noisy during the day.

Pleasant stay with old world charm and old world customer service.
Pros:

Our stay was very pleasant. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind, the facility is spotlessly clean, and has old world character.

Cons:

The only drawback was the few steps down to the dining area, which was a little difficult to do while balancing a full plate and coffee cup. However the staff attending the area, jumped to assist, which was much appreciated.

For a hotel close to middle harbour this is a good choice
Pros:

Super comfortable bedding, close to where we needed to be

Cons:

The breakfast wasn’t very appetising with only a small variety of choice, it is complementary but nothing is for free, it was in the room cost

Pros:

Great location, close to the inner harbour. Clean room, availalable service. Walkable to Dallas Road, shops, harbour. Great experience overall!

Cons:

The loft style can be hot upstairs, the fan was helpful but still warm.

Pros:

Our highlights were the breakfast in the cute dining room, and the short scenic walk into the downtown core.

Cons:

The rooms above us were a little loud, but that's just the older building and thankfully the stomps quieted down at a decent hour.

Was a great location and friendly staff
Pros:

The location was the main thing for me. Also that breakfast included and it was pretty good!

Cons:

So the room was pretty decent size and clean. But there were few maintenance issues, like the washroom plug sockets were not working so I couldn’t use the hair dryer and also my lock box wasn’t working. So if they could check everything before there would have been less inconvenience.
