Pet-friendly rooms are limited to Standard Rooms (selected Newcastle or Buckingham Rooms) located on the 1st floor and must be reserved in advance. Please contact the hotel to check the availability of pet-friendly rooms.
Please note that dogs will incur an additional charge of CAD 30 per room per night or CAD 90 per week.
If a pet-friendly room is not reserved in advance, the hotel reserves the right to refuse the reservation at the guest's expense.

Parking is available for CAD 18 per night. Parking availability is not guaranteed until check-in.
There is a small set of stairs on the 1st floor. Guests with mobility requirements are advised to contact the hotel in advance to ensure they are allocated a room on the 2nd floor with elevator access. Loft suites include stairs, with the bathroom located on the main floor, and are not recommended for guests with mobility concerns.
Reservations of 6 or more rooms are considered group bookings and will be subject to group terms and conditions, including cancellation fees. The hotel reserves the right to refuse or request cancellation of any group reservation if a contract agreement is not signed in advance.
A CAD 2.50 per night eco fee is applied to support large-scale carbon reduction projects as part of our sustainability efforts. This fee helps fund conservation and environmental initiatives, verified by Green Step Solutions, ensuring that our environmental footprint is minimized through energy-efficient and eco-friendly practices.
A CAD 0.25 per night fee is applied to support the Indigenous Tourism Destination Fund, which helps fund Indigenous-led tourism projects across Canada.
A Credit Card is mandatory at check-in. A damage deposit of up to CAD 250 is required upon arrival via a credit card. The same will be released at checkout, subject to an inspection of the property.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Location is great - short walk to the museum, the sea wall, and everything else. I did not expect much of the free breakfast and it was a nice surprise. The food is freshly prepared and the staff and friendly.
The fan in the bathroom is a bit too loud but tolerable.

Lots of noise. We were in a pet friendly room that had the maids room attached. Lots of coming and going out of there which drove our pup crazy.

Took 45 minutes to check in. Staff said new system, but seemed that staff were unprepared/needed more help. Also room dated, toilet paper dispenser in bathroom dispensed single tissue paper, was not traditional toilet paper roll-very inefficient/inconvenient

Really great location, beautiful safe area, very walkable. The room was clean, the bed was huge and incredibly comfortable. Free breakfast was decent. Staff very helpful and friendly. Robes provided were a nice addition. You get a discount on the spa and the tea house if you are staying here. We had a lovely time and it is a good option
I wish it felt a little more luxurious for the price maybe a complimentary mini bottle of Prosecco would be nice in the room. The hairdryers need to be dusted more regularly as ours was full of hair and dust which could be a fire hazard. A big shame they don't have enough parking for their guests, parking should be free for the price you pay however if you are considering paying for the parking they provide, dont if you are staying at the weekend, just park on the streets for free. The body wash shampoo and conditioner should be natural or island owned for a business that are eco friendly

The staff was not friendly. You were not allowed to take breakfast back to your room. Did not like the fact they made me throw out an entire plate of food I had for my husband.

The staff were great, the location amazing, sweet old world feeling, all good. The room, suite was impeccably clean.
The HVAC system was ancient and made a terrible racket which kept me awake or interfered with my sleep. This was a huge minus. The suite could had done with a new paint job as the walls were scuffed and the couch some pillows, the decor was so lacking. A window that opened would have been great too. But if you guys don’t upgrade your heating units, your offering is diminished. Breakfast was unfortunate with fake eggs.

The breakfast was very nice. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. The location was wonderful. It's right near the ferry terminal and the walk was really easy.
I thought the room was basically fine, but there were some things that could stand improvement. Some of the outlets were not the greatest, and they could use some wall patching and updating.
The location was close to all the Victoria amenities such as the harbour, downtown, Parliament buildings,
Empress Hotel. The staff was friendly. Will stay here again next time we are in Victoria.
The Wi Fi barely worked as it was down more then it was on. They kept saying it was a Rogers problem.
