Important information:

Pet-friendly rooms are limited to Standard Rooms (selected Newcastle or Buckingham Rooms) located on the 1st floor and must be reserved in advance. Please contact the hotel to check the availability of pet-friendly rooms.

Please note that dogs will incur an additional charge of CAD 30 per room per night or CAD 90 per week.

If a pet-friendly room is not reserved in advance, the hotel reserves the right to refuse the reservation at the guest's expense.

Please note that this property can accommodate dogs but will not accommodate other types of pets.

Parking is available for CAD 18 per night. Parking availability is not guaranteed until check-in.

There is a small set of stairs on the 1st floor. Guests with mobility requirements are advised to contact the hotel in advance to ensure they are allocated a room on the 2nd floor with elevator access. Loft suites include stairs, with the bathroom located on the main floor, and are not recommended for guests with mobility concerns.

Reservations of 6 or more rooms are considered group bookings and will be subject to group terms and conditions, including cancellation fees. The hotel reserves the right to refuse or request cancellation of any group reservation if a contract agreement is not signed in advance.

A CAD 2.50 per night eco fee is applied to support large-scale carbon reduction projects as part of our sustainability efforts. This fee helps fund conservation and environmental initiatives, verified by Green Step Solutions, ensuring that our environmental footprint is minimized through energy-efficient and eco-friendly practices.

A CAD 0.25 per night fee is applied to support the Indigenous Tourism Destination Fund, which helps fund Indigenous-led tourism projects across Canada.

A Credit Card is mandatory at check-in. A damage deposit of up to CAD 250 is required upon arrival via a credit card. The same will be released at checkout, subject to an inspection of the property.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

A grim, dirty and smelly hotel.
Pros:

Nothing other than the hotel manager who tried to fix what was a shambles.

Cons:

The first room was dingy, dusty and smelly with a view of cranes.After complaining the second room was clean but was also smelly, had a noisy aircon, weird noises in the bathroom, a broken screen door and dangerously steep stairs to a bed that was not comfortable. Complaining again the manger did put us in a much better room on the second night but by which time our stay had been ruined so decided to leave and find somewhere better.

Lovely stay, great location
Pros:

Really nice hotel. Comfortably, cozy. The location is hard to beat. It is steps away from Parliament building and Downtown, but it is in a very quiet place, not noisy at all. Central access to everything. Parking on-site. Staff are very friendly!
Daily buffet breakfast included - actual breakfast, eggs and pancakes, and bacon. You also have an option of having a sit-down breakfast at Pendray Inn next door, for a small extra charge.
Spa and hot tub on-site.
Will definitely come back.

Cons:

Not that I did not like it, but one has to remember that this is an older building - it's not very soundproof.
Also, during the first two nights that we visited the boiler was being repaired - meaning we did not have hot water after 10 pm till 5 am. It would have been nice to receive the heads up in advance, so we could plan accordingly.
Husband complained that there was no comfortable armchair in the room, and for me a good reading lamp was missing.
But none of these are major deterrents. We will definitely come back.

Pros:

The location was great. Everything was easily reachable on foot.
The room was spacious enough and clean.
We had a balcony which was lovely.

Cons:

The shower worked, but the water pressure was extremely weak, which made it difficult to enjoy.
