Pros:

This hotel has been bulldozed to the ground. We booked a room to attend the Oasis concert at Heaton park and upon arrival we were met with the sight of the hotel half demolished and fences off. Two excavators were parked in front of it. We were not notified of this, hence it caused us huge problems. DO NOT BOOK ROOMS HERE, the hotel no longer exists but is still advertised.

Disgusting attitude from gym manager Phil.
Pros:

Came here to visit on the 17th February for the day! Someone in the hotel had an issue with the gym manager Phil. I had explained to him that he needs to apologise to Phil. Phil spoke to me rudely when I haven’t done anything and told me not to enter the gym either. He had behaved with me in a disgusting manor when all I was doing was trying to resolve a situation that wasn’t even created by me. I had asked him why he was stopping me to enter the gym. He had then said because I got involved by getting the other person to apologise to him. I feel like this was also a racist regard and I am fully disgusted by this behaviour from Phil.

I am unhappy with this and I would not recommend this place to stay.

Needs a complete refurbishment
Pros:

Friendly staff, plenty of car parking and good regular bus service to central Manchester. Hotel is in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint. Lighting fixtures either broken or old fashioned. Powerful shower but a lot of black mould in grout.

Pros:

Reasonable value for money, clean if basic room fine for one night. The bar area was nice with very limited food options so chose to go out to eat. They do breakfast, but this started too late for anyone on business in my opinion.

Not as advertised
Pros:

Rooms were not as advertised, shower curtain doesn’t keep water in and the room is cramped damp and dusty. WiFi never worked so I was unable to work parts of my day job which is a main reason I travelled , when our final day came check out was 10 but at 9.45 they were stood banging on our door trying to get us out while we were finalising our packing , they were very intimidating just stood at the door staring at us making us push past them just to leave our own room. There were bugs and dust all over my bed and I ended up with an outbreak of spots on the sleeping side of my face. When I left my bank notified me that there were charges trying to be put on my card which had been frozen , starting from £150 going down to £10 so they were trying to constantly charge my card for “cleaning services” when we had left no damage or mess in the room itself which I find disgusting. They had never even given us a cleaning charge amount they were sat there just trying to get whatever they could out my card which is literal theft

Disgusting place

Its a cheap venue
Pros:

Lets start saying that i got the room for a great price.

Had to change rooms due to lighting issues and the rooms are very very dated and while not dirty could do with redecorating.

There was a constant knocking noise when in first room which i was told was the squash courts. Not exactly creating a restful environment after a days work.

Room was ground floor next to side carpark so had to keep curtains closed for privacy.

The bed was very uncomfortable and i woke many times in the night and felt i had a bad back in the morning.

Only a bar of soap provided in the bathroom no shower wash. Not been to any hotel that does not offer something to shower and wash hair with in many years.

Ordered a burger from the bar/restaurant and took back to room as it had kids runing around and did not seem like a place for a solo traveler to relax in. The burger was ok and did not inspire me to want to try brrakfast (additional cost).

Pros:

Its cheap which is a huge bonus, you can get an uber straight into town for £10. Hotels quite dated, no showering products which is strange. Free parking which is a bonus, rooms are horrendously warm even for someone whos nesh and the windows were open, bed was comfy which was good. Reception staff were also friendly and welcoming.

Cheap and convenient, needs some money spending on it but for the price you cant really go wrong.
