Great location, great place!
Pros:

Loved the location of the hotel!

Cons:

There seemed to be some maintenance going on. The carpets had blowers and our a/c was making funny noises. They took care of us but it was frustrating while we were there.

Great breakfast service, but the pool needs attention
Pros:

We had a pleasant stay at the Marriott Ventura Beach. One of the highlights was breakfast, where Slyvia looked after me. She was warm, friendly and attentive, and provided excellent service that made breakfast a particularly enjoyable part of the stay.

The main area that could use some attention is the pool. It looked like it was in need of a thorough clean, as there was quite a lot of debris visible on the bottom. For a Marriott property, I would have expected the pool to be maintained to a higher standard.

Overall, a good stay with particularly lovely service from Slyvia at breakfast, but better attention to the pool cleanliness would make a noticeable difference.

Mooie en zeer net hotel
Pros:

Mooie nette kamer, ruim. Zwembad was mooi. Zit gelegenheid was mooi aangekleed. We hadden de pech dat er een luidruchtig familie dat weekend daar was.

Decent enough
Pros:

The location - near the ocean other attractions.

Cons:

Room wasn’t clean (bathroom sink and mirror were very dirty upon arrival, and there was trash under the bed, sand in carpet).

Although I signed up for wi-fi in the room, it never connected for me (even with staff help) and ultimately I gave up trying.

There were homeless people wandering the hotel parking area both days we were there - didn’t feel like a safe place to park our car or walk.

Great Beach Access and Value
Pros:

The hotel is a short easy walk to a beautiful beach. Indulge in the weekend breakfast buffet. Having the Club W onsite was a pleasant surprise with 24 hr access to drinks and coffee. The grounds were very well kept with beautiful koi in the pond. The pool was clean and big enough to not feel crowded. With one of the biggest hot tubs I've seen. Walk to the nearby pier and Ventura, along the water or on the concrete path only 30 minutes away.

Very nice location, rooms pretty good and clean, worn stairways, bad smell outside in some areas.
Pros:

Rooms were pretty nice and close together. Breakfast was not too crowded and decent mix of options. Good views of the harbor.

Cons:

Sewer type smell outside. Stair cases very worn. Interesting there was nothing hanging on walls. Could provide a couple of bottles of water per day for $250/night. Weird to charge for parking when there was plenty.
