Pleasant staff, clean room, high price was not appropriate for the level of hotel.
Pros:

Good location. Cookies at night. Decent breakfast.

Cons:

The room was very humid when we arrived. They were prompt to come look at the heating/cooling controls and change the batteries. Unfortunately, once it was functioning using the controls, it never pulled the humidity out of the air.

Adequate stay
Pros:

Staff was very kind. Bed was comfortable.

Cons:

This was a very basic and outdated hotel. I was disappointed that the light and fan were connected in the bathroom, which meant the loud fan HAD to be on when the lights were on in the bathroom.

Disappointed
Pros:

The stay was fine, but due to the heavy smoke from the forest fires in Canada, we could not do any outside activities
We were very disappointed that Booking . com did not allow us to use a voucher for our planned stay in Mackinac City. The smoke was much worse there and we were traveling with a child who had asthma. In the future we will look into another booking agency who is more understanding for their customers.

Above Average Hotel Stay
Pros:

We stayed overnight on our way to Mackinac Island. The room was average. It was clean and comfortable. Shower was clean. Beds were ok and mattresses were comfortable. The breakfast could have been more filling and had more choices to choose from.

Very quiet, no stomping feet above our room no banging dock doors in the hallway. That was probably my favorite part.
Also, the breakfast every day was exceptional. The kitchen area was clean. The food was great. I would come back again just because of that.

Cons:

The only kind of bad thing was the ice machine on the first floor was broke for the first two days, which wasn’t a big problem because we took the elevator to the second floor for ice.

Overall very nice clean well maintained property to stay at. I would recommend!

I liked that it was updated and very clean. Easy to find your way around in also.

Cons:

There wasn’t anything that comes to my mind about the property itself. One thing I absolutely DIDNT LIKE when I was making my reservation was that there was no refunds if you were to cancel for any reason whatsoever. That is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! It’s not like the room was a super cheap price @ $330.00 per night thus justifying no cancellation refunds for a reduced rate. I almost didn’t book because of that clause. It was ONLY because I was short on time on my end that I reserved with a hotel with such a policy.
So for the very few hours we were actually there, it was wonderful. Your breakfast in the morning had many choices and was delicious!
