Good value hotel in a charming location.
Pros:

Good breakfast. Comfy bed and quiet bedroom (436). Peaceful location and lovely gardens. Very dog friendly. Nice decor.

Cons:

The room was a little stuffy being on the top floor and only having a small window. The bathroom was a little smelly. No lift which wasn’t great if you are on the top floor. However, the porter was very efficient and bought my luggage up quickly.

Pros:

We loved the location, the setting is fantastic, there was a warm welcome at reception and from all of the staff we met. Our evening meal was perfect for us, a good choice and not overpriced. We used the bar and again had great service. The breakfast in the morning was real quality and all of the food hot.

Cons:

I was disappointed in myself for not staying more than one night.

Exceptional hotel with the best staff I have ever met.
Pros:

The Staff made this hotel exceptional.... I have never experienced staff so helpfull, efficient and delightful to talk to. Francesca, Tina, Aliyah Sol and Martha were simply wonderful. Couldnt fault the hotel the upgraded bedroom was clean and had everything we needed. The Breakfast buffet was comprehensive and the quality of the cooked breakfast was very good. Dinner in one of the 'Pods' was fun. We would have liked to stay longer.

Cons:

Nothing really.... we will be back but next time for a couple of days...

Pros:

Nice location, clean and good food.

Cons:

When you're in the very top rooms, it gets very hot. Head room not good if over 5ft 6" especially in the shower. Pillows are very hard.

Really pleseant expirance if you wish to stay in Cotswold
Pros:

The building and surrounding area was beautiful, staff at reception were so nice and professional. They surprised me with drinks and card for my birthday! private seating area next to lake was unique and interesting experience with family. Breakfast was good too.

Cons:

Dinner menu could be more exciting. Its important to have charging plugs in car park soon

Not a 4 star rating more a 3+ due to the dining experience

The location was fantastic

Cons:

A 2 night stay and booked the hotel because it promotes on it’s website that it has a brasserie so we were looking forward to a nice dining experience but it only offered a run of the mill pub menu to my dismay,I assumed because there was a 200 guest wedding reception on the day we arrived and the kitchen staff prioritised that which is perfectly understandable, but when I questioned the front of house I was informed that was the only menu.
The rest of the stay was ok and the breakfast was really nice.
Come on Bowden hall( Mercure ) sort it out the hotel cries out for a brasserie.
