The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I arrived late with my daughter and they opened the kitchen and allowed us to have croissants for an early departure.
Our room was in the roof and we were concerned about access in case of a fire.

Really noisy. We stayed in room 241 and it had a view of the bins!. Really noisy all night with doors banging and bottles being emptied at 1AM.
Our room was comfortable, attractive and cool with a lovely garden view.

No air conditioning. Don’t book in this hot weather
A very pleasant couple of nights at Bowden Hall - a lovely location. A decent size room and easily accessible for bringing in the dogs. The staff are truly wonderful and very helpful, always going out of their way to provide assistance.
Restaurant evening meal was not to my liking - it doesn't match the quality of the hotel or the quality of the staff. Mercure should look at their menus and the quality of food on offer. Average food at a high price point.
