I have stayed in Laquita hotel a few times, I have always enjoyed my stay, the rooms were very clean great WiFi and a big tv. The pool was so awesome I swam a lot in it. That’s why I choose this hotel for my vacation. They are ruining Laquita hotel name, this hotel had paint peeling on the ceiling and the tilt seat moved from side to side the lamp shade had burn marks on them and the outlet had burn marks they charged me &11.00 a day for parking and $210 for my dog, they owe me $1029.18 I only stayed for 4hrs the charged me $95. I have pictures to prove what I am saying. Maybe you can get my money back, it’s been 2 weeks now and they hang up on me when I call. I’m also calling the health department and BBB please fix this. The breakfast was great the first day, the 2nd day it was subpar, they were late getting everything ready and an entire crew of construction workers was present which I'm sure made them late for work

Cons:

We have never visited the Charleston area, and we were from Mississippi. We arrived late at night, around 1130 pm. We stayed 2 nights. We booked 3 days in advanced. I also pre-checked in online to save time at check in, we came from a 14 hour drive and we were just ready to crash for the night. The location was Prime, beautiful view of the harbor, sucks that they charge us additional 15.00 for parking. 😢 we pull into thr La Quinta property, and visually outside was " ok" a little dated for the area. The hotel lobby was humid , and musty. We had to wait to get our card-keys and room even though we pre checked in, the clerk appeared to be tired and ready to get off shift, I assume because she had a " male friend" kinda hanging out by the counter when we tried checking in. Once checked in , we were " pointed" in the direction of our room. On our way to our room 2 buildings over, up a rickety elevator , we had to step over what appeared to be a spilled beverage on the concrete, I unlock the room door and step into an uncleaned room, bed was slept in and still unmade and a full trash can, and dirty towels laying on dresser. I closed the door and my husband went back downstairs to address the clerk who is now " off duty" in the courtyard, smoking a cigarette with male friend .. she directs him /us to the lobby, says she thinks they only have 1 room and its only 2 double beds not the standard King we paid for? So I get to the counter, the new clerk says she does have a King room in the main bldg. We head that way , exhausted, walk in new room to a stale, humid , musty room with blistered ceiling that was painted over what appeared to be a previous leak spot? The bathroom was dated, the faucets to sink and shower almost fell off when we tried to use , water pressure was awful toilet almost over flowed and drained slow. The bed was comfy, the A/c was sub par and noisy, sounded like 2 squirrels inside running on a wheel .

Not a clean place and too many maintenance issues

Cons:

Dirty hallways, noisy mattress, stuck closet door , front door gaps causing room air conditioner not to cool and stay humid, bathroom exhaust fan malfunctioning , missing microwave dish glass, dresser drawer stuck, bathroom outlet not working, popcorn ceiling bubbles,ripped carpet, and styrofoam dishes used for breakfast (not environmentally safe)

Was OK & if breakfast is not important, than a good place to stay.
Pros:

Room & closeness to Interstate.

Cons:

The breakfast was subpar. Extremely disappointing. I also cannot believe I was charged $11 for parking. There was no discription of this when determining the location I was going to spend the night.

Just traveling for business
Pros:

the smell & the view! :) once you walk in the scent is inviting. Smells great!! rooms with a view are amazing. Staff was wonderful ! very friendly. and I will be staying again due to the affordable rates!
