Very friendly welcome and good orientation advice from the manager when we checked in . Breakfast on the first 2 days was average- fairly limited selection and the food area was dirty - surfaces need wiping etc. on the third morning it was totally different- much better range of food - service area was very clean and we were given a lovely Southern welcome from Zee who was serving breakfast. She was friendly to all guests , cleared tables and was very hard working. She is a really good credit to the hotel and I hope she receives recognition for her hard work and work ethic
The breakfast options were better than I expected. Along with the usual cereal and yogurt, there were some hot foods like eggs and turkey sausage and scalloped potatoes.
The staff were especially nice and friendly.
The bed was very comfortable.
No complaints.
The ONLY reason this property has a high rating is due to the unprofessional behavior of the breakfast attendant standing over folks in the breakfast area with the QR code to give her a good review on TripAdvisor and not leaving them alone until they either do or slip away from her. This property is severely run down and not safe. Photo attached is the lock mechanism that was "replaced" on almost all doors of my group's stay and the room doors do not shut properly. Lobby security is non existent with non guests coming in and out for water.
Location great & friendly helpful staff
Worst complementary breakfast ever!
Our hotel receptionist Jay was great at checking us in. And the breakfast was excellent! Zee was awesome ! She was very nice and talkative ! We would definitely come back
I stayed in this hotel as part of a 60+ person organization. There are of lot of great comments that can be made about the stay. The bathroom utilities were satisfactory, with good water pressure and provided soaps. The room felt secure and there was no sketchy activity inside or outside the hotel, as far as I observed. The continental breakfast was delightful, especially the omelettes. This location feels a little less "top tier" than more expensive stays, but the atmosphere still fits the vibe of comfortable lodging.
Great hotel with a great breakfast and super friendly staff including Zee. My wife and I enjoyed our 3-day visit to Memphis.
Staff was very kind and welcoming. The room was a good size. The location was perfect.
NA
Hotel was ok. It was definitely older but pretty clean. There were lots of lady bugs on the walls in the room though. The breakfast food was decent but there was this woman working the breakfast area named Zee who actually scolded us for leaving a condiment bottle on the table. I also witnessed her slam down all of the lids on the food buffet after an older gentleman left them up. She yelled at a group of young girls for leaving crumbs on a table. And she went around the whole room passing out sheets of paper with a QR code on it and asking people to give her a good review on this site!! Which is why this average hotel has so many reviews…I also saw her on the lobby computer printing out all of the reviews,
Thank you for a great stay and thank you, Zee, for a great and friendly breakfast!
The people are very nice here and the room was clean and the food is good. Mrs Z was very nice.
Came with the UMHB softball team. Staff ( especially Zee and Cedric) were extremely friendly and attentive. Awesome service!!!
Ms. Zee was absolutely amazing such a hard worker and made breakfast enjoyable!
Breakfast was decent and Miss Zee was an outstanding hostess.
Z has been very sweet. We booked this place every time, just knowing that she works here. Hospitality and caring personality of this wonderful lady means a lot to us.
Amazing customer service from the moment we stepped in. Also, the breakfast was amazing. Zee had such a bright energy, making everyone’s day. We only came back to this hotel for her! She’s such a ray of sunshine.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy bed! Thanks to Ms Zee for a delicious breakfast and her super sunny disposition! Made do a great start to the day!
