This is a nice place to stay, but for the price point, the hotel could offer some small perks.
Pros:

What I liked about this property was that it was convenient to downtown Princeton without being in the thick of the downtown traffic/parking issues. The Westin had plenty of parking, clean rooms, and a decent pool. We were only there for one night.

Cons:

It feels like they nickel and dime you for everything. Usually hotels at this price point offer complimentary coffee downstairs in the mornings. Not so here- it’s almost $6.00 a cup. Also, we were told at check-in that breakfast would be $14.00 per person the following morning. This was not the case. It was Ala-cart and would have been significantly more. Furthermore, when they do a per person breakfast charge on the weekends for breakfast, it’s apparently $22 per person, not $14.

Bad hotel - good location
Pros:

This hotel continues to under-impress. For a hotel that caters to business travelers, they do little to truly accommodate these guests. Spent one night here on business in late June 2026. Chose this hotel due to it’s proximity to my meetings and b/c it is a Marriott Bonvoy property.

Check in experience was mixed. Lobby area is being renovated (it greatly needs it), and the small front desk was crowded with guests and representatives. I heard all the details of the other guest’s stay who was standing next to me and vice versa. The front desk did not share any details on the hotel or my Bonvoy status benefits. I asked about the hotel lounge, and their reply was ‘yeah, we have one’. No other details. Lobby bar is tiny - enough seats for maybe 5-7 people max. Too small for a business hotel.

Hotel room has not changed since my last stay. The room itself is fine, but it’s also overcrowded b/c of the unnecessary furniture. The bathroom area is just terrible. No room on the sink/vanity for any personal items. It’s also a bit cramped. The toilet/shower room is very large - the hotel engineers need to redesign the bathroom/vanity layout. Enough room there to make a nice bathroom area.

Tried to use the club lounge (i have access due to my Bonvoy status). Both keys never worked for the lounge (even though they worked for my room). The lounge looked open (8:00AM on a week day).

The only positive for this hotel is the location. The rest of no good.

Everything is Wet
Pros:

I stay at this hotel several times throughout the year (work related - we get a corporate rate).

Over the last year or so I have noticed something incredibly odd: everything in this hotel is damp….it’s like the humidity is out of control. At this point I have been in rooms on various floors, in various parts of the building, and the one commonality is that everything is wet. The air is wet, the bed sheets feel wet, your clothes (after a day or so) feel wet.

Even with the AC on, it makes no difference. To say the least: it’s excruciatingly uncomfortable and sleeping in a moist bed is incredibly uncomfortable and difficult.

At this point I will likely forego my company paying for the room and i will just find my own hotel. It’s truly that bad.

Pros:

Location was good, large property they did have the outdoors pool, staff seemed okay.

Cons:

Outdoor pool was small, so got very crowded and therefore we canceled our stay. I am still waiting for my refund from the hotel which they promised but have not seen anything yet from that. Some hotel areas are under renovations, and hotel seemed very busy. Rooms are also a bit dated..

Unsanitary and hot
Pros:

I don’t usually write reviews but after choosing this spot from many options in Princeton I am advising others against it. Very dirty rooms, lobby, pool. Really did not feel clean or safe for my family with young kids. The AC turned off in the middle of the night and the room became intolerably hot for us all to sleep comfortably. Only saving grace was the bar since we absolutely needed a drink!

Pros:

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

A little mold on the bathtub, floor under bed slightly wet. We let a staff know they said it was the HVAC probably but nothing was done about it

All rooms are same size. Don't fall for the "executive" room.
Pros:

Location was okay for accessing Princeton, but the Forrestal Village is a dead mall.

Cons:

I paid more for a larger room, which they called something like "Deluxe Executive King" and it was clearly labeled as 375 sq ft with all other details being the same as the regular King option. I looked on the Westin site and this matched how it was described there too. So, clearly, the extra money i was being charged was solely on account of the room being 375 sq ft instead of the 252 sq ft that the regular room was listed as. Yet, I was only given a 252 sq ft room and when I asked the front desk about this they insisted I was in the room I paid for and say "some" of the rooms may be bigger and others are not. That's not really a sufficient response.

The hotel is also under extended construction, which makes some of the lobby and breakfast spaces cramped. Breakfast is being served in the lobby bar, for example.

Worst Customer Service Ever
Pros:

This hotel is fine. However, the customer service is absolutely atrocious. It’s impossible to get a human being on the phone and if - after 5 tries in my most recent attempt - you do, they are located at a call center outside the US and very very little help. It’s pretty insane to me that this is called a Westin as in my experience, Westins pride themselves on customer service. God forbid there is any sort of emergency. Do better Marriott. The absolute worst.
