I have to say I love the Marriott. Great people great patio great pool area Val. The valet. come give this place a try thank you from Kevin
Nice, clean, good service. Comfortable. Nothing to really complain about. However, for this price, I thought it might be nicer. It was really not much different than a Marriott Courtyard. Room was nothing special. Standard products. I guess Marriott can charge a premium because of the location.
Great destination hotel with lots to offer.
The rooms are modern, clean, and well-designed. Marina views are a highlight, though lower-floor rooms can pick up some noise from the pool area below—something to consider if you’re sensitive to sound. That said, the pool closes at 10pm, so noise isn’t an issue late at night.
The property itself offers far more on-site options than typical hotels, with multiple dining choices and a Starbucks, making it easy to stay on-site without feeling limited. The pool area is a major differentiator—surrounded by lush greenery, with a hot tub and jacuzzi, it feels more like a resort than a standard city hotel.
Location is another strong point, with easy access to nearby restaurants and the light rail. The staff were consistently helpful and professional throughout the stay.
Overall: a well-rounded, family-friendly hotel with strong amenities and a resort-like feel, especially compared to nearby options.
Super emplacement.
We visited this hotel for a spring break trip with two young kids... it was a convenient distance from the San Diego Zoo and also Seaworld, and is walking distance to the Gaslamp district. There were plenty of restaurants close by, the view was lovely, and Seaport Village was pretty much right outside the door. There did not appear to be any conventions going on at the convention center next door, so our stay was *mostly peaceful and the hotel never felt too busy. There is a Starbucks downstairs that was very convenient for us, our kids don't eat much for breakfast and like to sleep, so we grabbed coffees and croissants while they slept before heading out for the day. There was also a daily credit of I believe $24 offered that can be used at Starbucks as long as you charge to the room, which was also nice. It does close at 2pm though.
Now to the downsides... the parking situation. There are two different self-park lots, one underground attached to the convention center and one above ground behind the hotel. I don't know how they determine who parks where, but the paper ticket they give you (not even a plastic card?) only opens one gate. One night we returned and the convention center parking had been blocked off with construction cones, and the other gate would not open so we had to call for help twice, once to get in and once to get out, which was a bit of an annoyance. We also did not see any free electric car chargers in the underground parking, although there were two in the above ground area right outside the hotel door. And for the price they charge for parking, believe me we made use of it that day!
If you do stay here, pick a room on a high floor. There is a train right in front of the hotel, and although there are no train horns, even from the 19th floor I could hear the crossing alarms ringing alllll night long. There was also something being done in front of the hotel that involved jackhammers starting at 7am on a Monday morning, which I didn't much appreciate. I know that sometimes this sort of thing is unavoidable, but it did affect my overall impression of the hotel as too noisy.
Overall I don't know if I would stay here again. I would probably look into other options, since there are so many hotels in the area.

Awesome Valet service manager. Shout out yo Jay Arman
We had a great experience, we had a very respectful and helpful Valet attendant Andres Robby. He was attentive, outgoing and very helpful. Definitely has potential for future positions of greater responsibility and leadership.
Val the Valet was wonderful and very helpful!
Great valet service, super quick, friendly, and professional. Jay Arman
Jay is 1 of 1. Not only is he incredibly professional but I great man as well. I really enjoyed our conversation. He goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed into the hotel.
The garden and the pool area was wonderful, a little oasis. The room was nice. Balcony is definitely a must.
My bed wasn’t as comfortable, I think the mattress can do with a do over. They should update their coffee apparatus. Coffee tastes pretty bad. Maybe a keurig would be a nice touch.
I would like to thank Andres Knoll in Valet for exceptional service. I had left my water at the counter and he brought it out to me at my car. Above and beyond!
We kicked off our spring break vacation to SoCal in San Diego and stayed at the M.M. It was my second or third time staying and we had a great time exploring the hotel & city. The location is top notch and the staff was great. After Easter Mass on Sunday morning, we had to run back to the hotel to grab something and Val the Valet was so welcoming and extremely professional while I waited for my family to run in. It’s all the small things and he was just a great human being which hopefully is reflective of the hotel’s culture! We’ll be back some time and will definitely stay there again.
We loved everything about our stay?
We truly cannot think of anything!
The location and amenities available were great!
We weren't told how the $24 per day was calculated (noon-noon) and we were told we could apply our $24 on our last day (because we arrived at midnight) by just coming back to the reception desk but when we went to reception, we were given different information. It was very confusing. And we asked for 3 blankets, but we only received 2.
