Y detén de
This place is one of my top favorites. It was spacious. My daughter, myself and my dad were able to sleep in our own beds. I love the 2 room and 2 bath option with sleep sofa. Super accommodating. We will be back !!!
We were on the 2nd floor. Stairs were a little too much for me. But I will be okay
The location and cleanliness.
Didn't have no problems.
Photos on their website have been photoshopped! Rooms are spacious but definitely not as nice as pictured. For one night, it was fine but even our 8 year old commented on the gritty film on the bottom of the tub and the pull out mattress was significantly stained, without a mattress cover so we just used the couch as is which is twin sized bed. $250 hold will be put on your card in advance in case of damages and you’ll need to sign a no-party waiver. There was an additional charge of $13.50 for “daily parking” but this is just another up-charge, as the hotel itself is just in a normal area/not resort level, few blocks down from a Waffle House. It was close to a mall with dining options but the rooms were not super sanitary/clean. Exterior entrances and half the rooms start on level 2 so maybe housekeeping is more thorough on ground level floors. Overall it was good enough after a 12 hour drive but def the worst Residence Inn we’ve stayed in and seems more like a converted apartment complex.
When visiting Atlanta ( Buckhead area) Residence Inn is my first choice. The location is near my family and walkable. Also nearby transportation when doing business in the area helps .I find the staff welcoming, friendly and helpful. Service always with a kind words and smile. The rooms, lobby and inn grounds are always clean. Area surrounding each buildings are well lit which add to my feeling safe. The breakfast has limited prepared choices for vegetarian. You can always get coffee or refreshing water available in the lobby for late guests arrival which I appreciate.
And yes I recommend Residence Inn to family and friends in Atlanta and at home.
Advertised as sleeping 4. A king bed and a sofa bed. The mattress on the sofa was horrible. You could feel every spring!
The staff was very attentive
Refund of deposit and paying to park in front of my room
I didn’t appreciate that Marriott charge my credit card and also bookings.com charge my credit card two charges for one room is Marriott at fault. I think so. I haven’t heard anything from American Express yet. Also, Marriott never returned my call !!
At 3 AM, I wake up to someone trying to get into my room. I looked through the peep hole and , it is a couple using a key card trying to open the door. I did not open the door at first as I was scared to death but as they started to walk away I did open the door and she immediately apologized and told me that she had a key for the room that I was in and showed it to me. At that point, I guess they went back to the front desk and I went back to bed. A few minutes later, the phone starts to ring and it's the front desk asking if I'm OK and apologizing for the mixup apparently, according to the clerk, there was a mixup in the computer with room numbers or something so I laid back down again and a few minutes later, the phone rings again and it's the same person apologizing and just asking if I'm OK! Needless to say, we didn't get very much sleep!
