Overall it was a good stay. Just needed it for sleeping and didn’t spend much time there anyway.

Sketchy but we lived

Breakfast really was pretty decent

Staff was mostly amiable, the facilities looked very old and a bit sketchy. Outer doors (side doors, not the main door by the front desk) were propped open at least 2 times during our stay...big security risk. Water damage in the shower area in our room, and above the window. Wasn't necessary but the tv remote was missing, but tv was there at least I suppose.... Wifi password wasn't readily available and when we checked in the person didn't seem all that happy to be helping us, so we sucked it up and used phone data during our stay. The elevator was a bit sketchy and shaky but worked well enough.
I am glad that I was not traveling alone as I wouldn't have felt very safe staying in this hotel alone as a female.
Considering the price point I had expected just a touch better. But it is what it is and we survived.

Pros:

Our room had been remodeled and was surprisingly decent compared to the rest of the hotel.

Cons:

Upon check-in the front desk had me wait until she was done cleaning something in another room, I stood there for about 15-20 mins. Then as she was checking me in water started pouring out from the ceiling about 2 ft from where I was standing.

The closeness to the convention center

Cons:

The staff is rude and unhelpful. They expect you to carry your wet and dirty towels to them for exchange. When asked for an extra pillow and towels we were told no. The elevator barely works. The pool is under construction which isn't told to you. Also they have a bucket on the floor of the first floor catching water leaking from the ceiling. The rooms do not get cleaned daily and trash is left in the hall for over 24 hrs.

Got kicked out ,because they said I smoked in a room , I know I didn't I am a non-smoker and can't stand cigarette smoke . With the way they approach me about it was very rude and nasty. I go to store to get something to drink come back my key don't work , so I go down to desk to see why and that's we they approached me saying I smoked cigarettes in a room and I don't smoke ! I don't think I will stay there ever again !
