Hotel Concord Syracuse, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Please know this…My daughter and I stayed here. It was seedy. Had smells of marijuana on the first floor with doors propped open. Thought we’d be separated but we were put on the 4th floor with other people that I now assume were housed there. There were young kids (3-8) screaming and crying until 12:15 then again at 2:00 in the morning. Doors slamming loudly-auto shut with no soft closure. A domestic situation caused me to call the front desk at 10:45 they came up and we had hoped it rectified it but unfortunately it did not. We contemplated leaving at midnight but were worried and nervous to leave the room. Hoped it would just subside and they would eventually go to sleep.

Went down in the morning they told us we should have said something, that “they know” that the cops will be called if there are too many complaints. They also said they would not charge us for the next night that I had booked so I could find a different place to stay. I was still charged.

Had I read this review I would have certainly not booked here. I’m grateful places offer housing to those who need it, I just don’t want to UNKNOWINGLY book a stay there.

Every review I read was decent. That’s why I booked it. That’s what makes me nervous. We cannot have been the only people who experienced this. Maybe most people know a place this cheap is too good to true??

En arrivant a l’hôtel le jeune homme étais sortie de l’établissement avec sa voiture pour aller se chercher un lunch nous avons attendu presque 10 minutes 2/ arrivée a ma chambre la tele ne fonctionnait pas …appelé a la réception il m’a avisé que le service reviendrais dans 10-15 minutes mais apres avoir ete souper pas de tele les autre chambre en avais mais pas la mienne j’ai demander a changer de chambre il m’a dit qu’il en avais plus de disponible. Mon constat je ne recommande pas cette endroit je n’ai pad aimer la vibe de cette endroit pour la somme de $205 ? Non

The hotel was DIRTY! Garbage in the doorway, the floors on first floor were gross! Not sure my room was really cleaned! Nasty hair all over the bathroom the sheets looked like they weren’t changed! (Thank full I brought a blanket to lay in.

I had,the first room in the,room, many people have been in the lobby, you will hear a lot

Dirty room- surfaces sticky, stains on bedding. Hard bed, broken furniture. Very loud guests in halls/adjacent rooms.

The property is old and run down. I walked into the room, looked at the nasty stained mattress and ran out the door! So nasty!

Room wasn’t ready at 3. Room was not clean. Papers and straws on the floor. The bathroom floor was sticky, really quite gross.

Very poor breakfast and was not clean, they had a renovation and the carpet was very dirty

First room I got had mold & rust in the bathroom shower area & ceiling.

We stayed with a large group for a tournament
1st when we checked in the gave us a room that wasn’t cleaned/ still had someone checked in ( I had called an hour prior to this to make sure the room was ready)
2nd we get to the next room the bathroom door doesn’t shut and stay closed
3rd the bathroom fan is broken
4th when you shut the room door you can still see light all around it
5thThe tv remote doesn’t work( even went back downstairs to get new batteries)
6th when you shut the door to your room it doesn’t shut unless slammed.
7th another person who was in our group their toilet didn’t work at all (they were offered a plunger )
