Quality Inn Riverside near UCR and Downtown

It was ok for few days

Our stay here was not that great. We were out in a room that had a broken ac unit and it was about 90 degrees in there. There was what appeared to be mold all over the ceiling in the bathroom and everything seemed to just be falling apart and in general disrepair. The staff were friendly though

The Room dirty and they have mugs.
They have no idea what’s going on in the hotel. They lock my door to my room and they thought I was somebody else… I was not happy that they locked my door right after I talk to them about who I was….

They were kind enough to let me check in early.

There is no way this hotel should have the word Quality anywhere in their name! The only saving grace for this place is that the staff was really nice. That was the only thing! I have pics that I will be sending to the company but I must say this was the worse hotel I’ve ever stayed at!

The Breakfast exceeded my expectations and the preparer / meal staff was positive and friendly.
This could have been a good + experience but for the lobby staffer who initially was professional and efficient. But when advised that the occupants of the room next door were sitting in the hallway, in camping chairs and making loud noises… No apology or empathy was offered, a different room was. When advised the new key cars was not working, again, no apology or empathy just a matter of fact instruction to come back to the office so that “I can show you” how to use the card and hung up on this guest while speaking. When I called back to ask why / if he hung up on purpose? again, no apology/ acceptance of poor staff to guest interaction… I have many customers! and second hang up. When I drove / walked back in… no contrition or empathy, immediately began to speak to me as if I was a child, demonstrating how the card works. When I explained that I had tried this, no words, just an issued a new card. Disappointed by the multiple negative interactions, I returned to the room and the new card immediately worked. My guess is there was a problem with the card initially issued. Lastly, at check out, I requested a print out/ receipt but was assured by a different/friendly staff member that it would emailed and my “reserve” amount on the booking credit card returned promptly. 48 to 72 hours later, neither has happened. Best value in Riverside. Bldg is old so some things are worn, but rooms are clean, staff is great, breakfast is great.

Great stay

The only thing I can say about this ‘hotel’ is that it’s in a good location for UC Riverside, it’s pretty cheap and you get a free almost bearable breakfast - coffee and a banana anyway. That’s why I’ve stayed a few times but every time I do I swear it’ll be the last. The property and rooms are so run down, area outside is desolate and the service is terrible (except friendly lady at breakfast always!). I swear this time I’m not going back - will pay more to stay in the Marriott next door or a hotel in downtown Riverside next time.

Pulled up to check in and there was a guy walking through the parking lot with a sawsall and a bandana on his face. Then another male sitting in his car with his face covered. I did not feel safe to even get out of the car. Even though I bought the additional cancellation… I was still denied a refund.

Very old building. AC was super loud, ac running all night and still didn’t cool the room very much. Staff were very helpful and polite.

It wasn’t bad but there was NO hot water in the shower and the water was cold. Didn’t get extra towels and it was extremely loud at night. People kept knocking on our door and waking us up

The area is a little questionable- but the room was clean and the breakfast was good. I stayed there for work- so it's a good price for a clean bed and shower

Seem old the carpet had stains needs maintenance

staff who works serving food in am always a good person to see she talks to everyone and is so kind

The staff is amazing they do such a great job especially the gentleman that always helps me he is so funny and I know he works a lot but he just keeps on telling the jokes he is a very good worker you are lucky to have him he has helped out so much and been so polite and so kind and understanding he sure does treat the customers good

Room smelt awful - like unacceptable odor, staff came and acknowledged but couldn’t move us. This wasn’t our first stay, so it was disappointing this is no longer an option for us.
