Great location within walking distance of the old historic town.
Sort of loud by train tracks but it was nothing too disturbing
Location
Small room needs updating
The floors need to be cleaned/mopped better. The hotel is located on a very busy and dangerous road. Rooms are outdated. Noticed damages and scratches on walls, etc. The AC was so loud it sounded like heavy footsteps, we couldn’t sleep. Front desk not as warm or inviting as they could have been. The price you pay is expensive for an outdated hotel like this and is so not worth it. I should have booked at the Hilton in the area. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again.
Location
Comfort of the beds and pillows!
It could offer some sort of free breakfast
Extremely comfortable and clean, helpful staff, great barhrooms/shower
Great location. Very quick walk to the old district. Loved the big sized rooms and nice A/C
Toiletries weren’t my favorite.
Location was good.
Price was way to high for an outdated room.
The stay was wonderful. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I dealt with Joel on several occasions and he was always kind and courteous. Very helpful and a joy to talk with. Nice and clean rooms.
The price and location.
When we cked in the guy was not friendly at all, no smile to greet us... The man the next day was friendly and helpful. Our microwave did not work properly and go around. It burnt our cover cup, almost starting a fire. We did let them know at the desk. The room could've been in better shape (paint, marks on wall, chips, cracks on tile). It would've been nice to have a view of the water or pool instead of the wall.
The positives: Efficient desk staff, clean room, fair price for a tourist town, restaurant options nearby
The negatives: We had to park at the far corner of the property as there was nothing available by our room. The room was literally wet inside with humidity. By this, I mean a truly slippery tile floor and sheets so damp they stuck to your body. The AC unit was very loud and made inconsistent rattling noises. The road noise was excessive. Thankfully I brought earplugs, but we were unable to sleep in wet sheets and musty air.
In fairness to the desk, I did not inform them during my stay or ask for linen change. It was late when we rolled in and we were too tired to mess with it. We were even more tired the next day ;)
We stayed on the first floor facing the road.
Location close drive to downtown. Staff accommodated one night extension in same room.
Train right next to hotel and garbage truck pickup at 2 am made for noisy nights
Apparent mold issue in the hotel, as well as loud trains that rumble by several times at night waking you from your sleep. There was an air purifier running in the room when we arrived, as well as a strong bleach smell. We inadvertently shut the air purifier off and woke with sore throats and congestion that worsened and lasted for days. When we returned the air purifier back on it read hazardous air quality, over 300, which is severely high levels of air pollution. Someone was hanging their laundry over the railing which was there for two days. This was visible from the dining area. The pictures seem fraudulent as the hotel is not what the pictures portray. Stay somewhere closer and cleaner. This one is a health hazard in my opinion.
Our room was very large and clean suite. The staff, especially Mikel, we're friendly and courteous. Nice on site bar and Colombian themed restaurant. The food was excellent and the server very friendly and knowledgeable. Value for price was nice! Large clean pool outdoors.
The walkability was fine timewise from the sights but the road in front of the location is a bit difficult to cross. There is a traffic light down the road a bit with a timed crosswalk so thats makes it easier. It feels like the room could use lighting around the desk area.
The photos on line are deceiving. This is a motel renovated on the outside with great photography to sell it. While it was dog friendly, there was dog poop everywhere on the grass area that had not been cleaned up in a very long time. Our room opened onto a railroad track that ran several times during the night and woke us up (think My Cousin Vinny). The water coming out of the tap smelled so strongly of Sulphur, and you couldn't drink it but the offered no bottled water except to purchase it. Showering was awful as the water was so strong smelling you couldn't stand to be in the shower for very long. The walls were so thin, we heard a couple fighting literally for hours in the middle of the night keeping us up.
On a positive note, the staff was very nice. The room was very clean and the king size bed was comfortable. The Welcome Center was right across the street.
The staff Joel and I think his name is Mike were wonderful people at the front desk. The location is excellent.
The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom door was falling apart and we had to tape it at the bottom to close it. The both room we stayed out overlooking the pool was the same condition. There was only 1 little wastebasket in the room so we had to asked for a large trash bag which the housekeeper was very accommodating.
The washer and dryer was terribly dirty. I had to clean it myself. That was a terrible experience. I had to send them out and it was expensive.
The laundry machines were the one thing that really bothered me.
Clean, comfortable, less than a mile walk to historic downtown
