Spouse and I stayed here while visiting family and friends over the holidays.
Check in was seamless and friendly. We had purchased a package which included self parking and food credit. No problems having the benefits applied to our account.
Food: Enjoyed a late night snack at the bar near the lobby. Food and service were great.
Parking: We didn’t valet. We self parked. Self parking is usually $25 but again, we had a package that covered garage parking so was able to park for free. The garage is easily accessible from the second floor.
Room: Clean and spacious enough. The bathroom is a little dated. We had a shower that had a slow drain. Reported it the next day, it was immediately addressed. We liked the thoughtful amenities like a keurig in the room and a water bottle fill station available on the floor.
Noise: We got a room on the 14th floor after seeing earlier reviews about the construction across the street. (Construction is for the Capital building’s extension and it’s ongoing.) Noise was minimal but you can hear the large trucks early in the morning so if you’re sensitive to noise, bring earplugs.
The hotel is immaculate and great location. The staff was awesome, I had a few disappointing stays at Hyatts lately, but this one was an excellent experience.
I would warn parties of four making reservation for a 2 bed room, these beds are too small for 2 ppl each. We had flown 5 hours to attend a close family wedding and were looking forward toward a good night sleep and comfy bed space. Given the small bed sizes, we were never able to sleep comfortably. Forget about feeling rested and relaxed, we came back home with body aches. Of course, not feeling rested also resulted in not being able to enjoy the wedding celebrations either.
Great location (2min walk to the state capitol and capitol park. 10min walk to Golden 1 Center). The parking is convenient, saving me a lot of parking cost (just park at the hotel and walk to nearby attractions). The staff are friendly.
Great experience at Hyatt Regency Sacramento. They are very welcoming and accommodating. The staff sent a complimentary welcome cake and champagne to celebrate our daughter's 18th Bday Celebration we were having at another banquet venue a few blocks away from Hyatt Regency Sacramento. We had the choice of staying at the venue but we decided to stay at Hyatt Regency Sacramento because we are more already familiar with the Hyatt services and did not want to be disappointed by other hotels in the area. I only trust Hyatt to deliver exceptional service and at Hyatt Regency Sacramento - they truly did.
It was my first time at Hyatt Regency Sacramento for a business tradeshow. I enjoyed the short walk over to the convention center. I loved the layout of the hotel, my room, the lounge, and Dawson's!
The service was superb and I will be back!
Hyatt Regency Sacramento is a good place for conference. Staff are very nice and helpful. Room is clean and big double-bed is very comfortable
I walked over from an event across the street to check in and requested valet parking. I was initially told valet parking was available, however when I later returned with my vehicle, I was informed that valet service was no longer available.
Additionally, there was blood on one of the bathroom towels in my room, which is completely unacceptable.
I also noticed an additional charge of $185.25 listed as an “accommodation” fee on my bill. I was specifically told by staff that my parking would be complimentary due to valet parking not being available after I had already been charged for it.
I have attempted to contact the hotel multiple times to resolve these issues, but each time I was placed on hold for several minutes and then disconnected.
Overall, this was a very poor experience, and I would not recommend this property to anyone.
I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was welcoming and professional, the room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were well-maintained. The location was convenient, and overall the experience was smooth and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
Good hotel for me primarily because of the charging. There are Tesla destination chargers here so it was nice to be able to charge here while staying overnight. I don't know how busy the parking structure of the hotel is usually since I went on a holiday but there were a lot of parking space. I understand this parking structure can probably be accessed by others from outside. The heaters are a bit loud so bring ear plugs if you want to turn up the heat.
The staff and room were both great. We enjoyed those aspects of things. The rest had a lot to be desired.
- I'm tired of all the charges. $25 a night to park, $40 for valet. It's ridiculous. I'm sick of it.
- $8 for a bottle of water in the room. Your greed is such a turn off
- $40 per person for breakfast. No thanks.
- Perhaps because I booked using Hyatt points, thankfully there weren't "resort fees" that I could see.
- The homeless issue around the hotel is completely out of control. You can't go a block adjacent to the hotel without running into homeless. We parked on the street one night and there was a homeless guy that started taking small steps towards our car. One step, then he waited. Then another. And another. It freaked us out and we pulled away.
- The next day we walked to the ice skating rink and the streets were mostly empty except for us a lot of homeless (likely due to it being Thanksgiving day I guess). The homeless were both laying in the streets and riding around on bikes. I truly felt like we could have been jumped at any moment. We ubered back to the hotel that night.
- We were there to visit family and if we do ever go back, we won't stay at the Hyatt
Ive only checked in at my stay but i just wanted to appreciate Carrie's extreme professionalism and customer obsession! She is great and made us feel so welcome. In addition, the hotel has a contemporary atmosphere which i can appreciate. Would stay again if we decide to come up to SAC
Because I had to change my room it was too close to a main street and hearing traffic. The other room wasn’t much better just 2 doors down in the opposite direction. The refrigerator wasn’t working and I called down for one, this refrigerator also stopped working during the night and caused my food to spoil. I went downstairs and the desk clerk was very nice and showed empathy towards my concerns regarding my food being my ruined. She offered me food from this room behind the desk counter. I left her my name and phone number for the Manager to give me a call when the individual arrives for work after 7a.m.
I have not yet received a call nor an email from the manager.
Had some minor issues with the room Environmental s but will still come back in the future. The staff was great and the location cant be beat.
The hotel was not clean, from sheets, towels, pillow cases, and glassware. All stained. Steakhouse was great. Breakfast Vine was over priced. Bar was understaffed and closed early. Train can be heard through ear plugs and noise machine; prepare to wake up early everyday for that.
This hotel is in a great location to get around downtown Sacramento quickly and easily. The hotel was clean and spacious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.
From the rooms to the meeting spaces Hyatt is welcoming and professional. It was easy to get to the convention center for our conference. The food and drinks are second to none!
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The service was outstanding—staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The location is perfect, just a short drive from the capital, making it ideal for both business and sightseeing. Parking was incredibly easy and convenient, which made my trip stress-free. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and I felt truly welcomed from the moment I arrived. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and convenience!
There is ongoing construction at the capital; consider that if you are a light sleeper. Truly, the construction in the early hours was brutal on my sleep. But the hotel is truly well located, plenty to walk and see nearby. The staff is beyond pleasant and helpful. Good food and drinks as well.
I had great expectations, but the room was tired and worn. Thermostat off by 10 degrees, cracked lampshade, lumpy bed, no bath towels and the quality of the towels was poor, very thin and grey
