Hyatt Regency Sacramento

My stay at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento was truly much better than expected. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and seamless—we were even able to check in early and received a room upgrade, which made our stay feel extra special.

We were there for a convention, and even with so many guests, the staff was exceptional. The three of us all felt the same—we were treated incredibly well throughout our entire stay. Every team member, from the front desk to valet, bellhops, and restaurant staff, was kind, attentive, and professional.

The restaurants inside the hotel were also amazing—delicious food and excellent service across the board.

I loved every part of this experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sacramento.

It's a beautiful hotel and every staff member was very friendly and helpful. All the food was delicious especially Dawsons Steak House.

Staff, lobby, and location are the only highlights here—everything else was a letdown. The property feels dated, and the room carpets were visibly worn and filthy.

The club lounge was the worst I’ve experienced at a Hyatt Regency. Food quality was very basic, and items like cold cuts and cheese were left in direct afternoon sun—I even tasted a piece spoiled grilled vegetable.

Weekend breakfast at Vines (for club guests) was essentially the same food with nicer presentation; the only difference was made-to-order omelettes. Paying $80+ /day for two for what amounts to a basic continental breakfast is hard to justify.

Overall, great service and location, but the facilities and food fall well short of expectations.

Stayed 2 night for a business trip. One fantastic stay! Very friendly people, quick and easy check-in. Good price for what you receive. Clean room, great beds. Professional atmosphere. Loved it.

I had the worst experience. I went for a business trip traveling with youth. Check in time was 4PM our rooms weren't ready until 6PM. They didn't offer any accommodations not even a water the staff was very rude. When checking out I had prepaid for all the rooms but they somehow charged me an extra $349 and couldn't figure out why. I had to stay back for an extra hour. Then they also couldn't figure out my parking ticket because I needed the receipt and told me they couldn't find it so I will have to contact the third party vendor on my own time. This was truly the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but my 5 night stay was an absolute joy. The location was terrific - our room had a view of the Capitol dome, and we were able to walk to a number of restaurants in the area, as well as walk around the lush park on the Capitol grounds. We also walked to the historic Old Sacramento area to spend a half day.
The Regency Club on the 12th floor was quiet and allowed for us to decompress after a long day, as well as enjoy a terrific breakfast and appetizers/snacks before dinner. The staff at the Club was attentive. Service was impeccable.
Housekeeping did a terrific job. Our room was clean and spacious.

I will definitely stay at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento again when I next come to town.

Hotel was very clean and the room was comfortable. I really enjoyed walking into my room with the fireplace app being displayed on the television.

This hotel is starting to show signs of age, however still nice place to stay. The staff is excellent. Be aware, it can be very spendy. Also they charge for guest parking.

I stayed here for a business trip, and while the location is easily one of the best in Sacramento for accessing the State Capitol, the experience was inconsistent.

The Highlights:
The service at Vines Cafe was a major bright spot. Jasmine at the front kiosk was incredibly sweet, friendly, and helpful during all three of my visits. The food is excellent with great dietary options. Additionally, my checkout was seamless and professional thanks to Divina, the Front Office Manager, who was a pleasure to work with.

The Lowlights:
Unfortunately, check-in was impersonal and disappointing. The agent made no eye contact, didn't use my name, and tried to upcharge me $25 for a higher floor, despite my colleague receiving a preferred room earlier that day. The room itself felt generic; the bath towels were small and "tired," and I was shocked that a hotel of this caliber still lacks USB-C ports in 2026. I also had to wait over 5 minutes for pool towels in the morning as the rack was empty.

Overall, a great spot for the location and the cafe, but the front-of-house consistency and room amenities need an update.

Excellent location for exploring Sacramento, lots of amenities within walking distance and the views are great from the Regency Lounge. Hotel was super communicative before, during, and after my stay. The staff were friendly and valet service was fast and efficient.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! The staff was so friendly and kind. They check in was a breeze. The room was immaculate. They had a big hair dryer, a magnifying make up mirror, all the comforts of home! The housekeeping staff was so friendly and kind. It was a great stay!

Decent hotel but getting old. Water damage in the ceiling above the shower. Mold on the ceiling as well. Needs to be updated, especially for the price. Bar is pretty good as is the service. Gym is good although located in a building next door. Breakfast is solid as is the service. Location is also pretty good. But the rooms badly need updating and the bed mattress was way beyond its time!

Amazing experience! The entire staff at this property is absolutely amazing. Great dining options, and within walking distance to other options around the city with a wonderful park across the street.

Excellent hotel. Efficient staff. Very clean. I highly recommend. The only suggestion I have is Google maps has you turning a block early and a left turn is not allowed on L. But the hotel is very good.
