The Blue Boar - Maldon

The Hotel was ok over priced compared to other hotels.

Staff were great, breakfast was very good.
Easy parking. A very old building and theyve done their best to modernise it. I felt the access from the pub into the the hotel area was perhaps less secure than most hotels.
On the whole a good experience at the Blue Boar.

This was a really pleasant stay with a good breakfast in a recently refurbished and comfortable bedroom. This is a characterful former coaching inn in a good town centre location with good parking facilities..

Lovely room bathroom great bed was nice pillows of which spoilt our nights sleep probably came out of pound land and the only other thing was couldn't understand was why there was a coffee table for a drink station much to low!
We had a drink in the bar opposite waited 10 minutes for the red headed bar staff member to come back from the court yard to serve without even saying sorry for your wait which i found exceptional rude. But on a good note the breakfast was lovely.

Lovely hotel. We stayed in studio it was spotlessly clean. Only slight thing was to change air conditioning settings you had to stand on arm of sofa, maintenence man came over and helped us though. Very comfy nice and quiet. Great blackout blinds and comfy bed made for a nice lay in. Pub was really quaint nice old features. Breakfast was so good, staff so friendly and helpful. Great location in High Street. Would come back.

Such a lovely couple nights stay here. Perfect location for us as just 10mins away from a wedding we was going too. Staff was friendly & welcoming. Breakfast was yum!

Fatastic hotel and our room and ensuite was lovely, my only issue was the mattress was rather noisy. Breakfast was lovely but please try either Linda McCartney or Cauldren veggie sausages as even meat eaters love them. If we're ever in the area again we'll definately stay at The Blue Boar. The staff were lovely too.

Excellent stay. The hotel team were friendly and welcoming.
We were able to transfer our booked room to a downstairs room. That’s a big thank you.

Very old world so just what we like,unfortunately weather spoilt it for walking.good parking.but thought price for very small room a bit too much.and too many stairs for elderly folk!Breakfast was excellent!

Absolutely amazing hotel and staff were brilliant, thanks Emma and colleagues for getting room ready for us to change for a wedding.

I used to stop in another small and friendly place but it was too hit and miss being open, so stayed here for the first time, it didn’t disappoint so wil stay again when in the area.

Fab little place.

Clean and tidy. Just a little bit old in places but its charm makes up for that.

The breakfast was great and every staff member was more than helpful.

Lovely old pub in the centre of town. Staff very efficient and friendly, nice room. Easy parking, you just have to register your vehicle at reception.

I liked all things about the property , plenty of choice at breakfast , could do with decorating, cleaning , dead fly on dinning room window sill 3 days running . Plenty of clean towels , tea/milk replenished when asked.
But pillows were awful ! Lumpy , need replacing.
