We booked this hotel due to the snow storm, 3 Registered Nurses who were required to work during the snow storm who works at Greenwich hospital was pleased with our experience. Everyone was so nice and accommodating! The hotel was so clean and cozy. We will definitely recommend this to our Hospital Colleagues and Sr. Leadership.
Modern, clean
Heating did not work , would not get above 72 , was 3 outside, when it worked it sounded like a jet engine spooling up, then it just didn’t work, water was warm at best in morning in shower , not a 300$ room , had better and warmer stays at a Hampton Inn
The J House is such a great stay every time I am in CT. From the hotel staff to the comfort of the rooms to the great food at Tony’s.
I liked the vibe, the bar, the restaurant
Our room (a little priced because we decided to pay for a upgraded room) was at end of hallway I’m assuming close to i95 highway and all night long all we heard was horns consistently honking and loud sounds .. maybe we would have been better with a cheaper room… was disappointed in that. Then we get to hotel and find out that since they weren’t at full capacity the rooms were half of what we paid but couldn’t get an adjustment or I would have settled for a upgraded room to compromise.. not the 1st time staying at this hotel but it may be our last
There was old chicken sausage and frozen food in the room freezer.
The staff I give an 11 . They were very attentive to my special needs. I was very much taken care of and more important I felt safe. I spent 5 nights and will be going back on my next visit.
Cannot say enough good things about our stay. We stayed over Christmas, and we received stellar service the entire time. Food was excellent, spa was relaxing, 10/10.
Generally excellent and accommodating. Great service, solid amenities including good restaurant and bar options within the hotel. Complimentary breakfast is just okay but it's sufficient any coffee is excellent. The biggest negative is at the beds are really quite bad. I stayed here years ago when they were new and the beds were wonderful but honestly it seems like they haven't replaced them in a decade. The bed I slept in felt like an extremely obese person had been sleeping on only one side of the bed for months. You couldn't sleep on the opposite side or you would have rolled down.
The only other slightly irritating thing is the mandatory valet parking.
But again generally highly recommend.
(After the renovation of the delamar and the drop in amenities there, I think the j house is now the better option.)
Easy to get in and out
