Pros:

Breakfast and the staff were great.
Green Mill restaurant has delicious food.

Cons:

Lighting in the room was bad.
Lost money on the washing machine because there was no "Out of Order" sign on it even tho they knew the day before.
Weren't able to be reimbursed.

Cons:

The door lock on room wouldn’t latch shut very well. Had to confirm was shut and be locked. Otherwise it could just be pulled open without key card.

Pros:

The woman who checked us in was very nice. The room was not ready.

Cons:

The room was loud..next to road..the people in the next room over had a screaming match and also the breakfast was late.

Fantastic staff. So helpful. Try this hotel!!!!
Pros:

I did not have breakfast. Great restaurant attached for lunch and dinner!
Great location to highways to get around.
Only reason I did not give an excellent on cleanliness is because they could use all new carpeting in halls and rooms. Otherwise very clean!
Front reception staff wonderful. Supervisor as well! Will go again. Have been there multiple times.

Carpets.

Downhill.
Pros:

We've used this Best Western three years in a row. Year 1 graded A, Year 2 graded B, and year 3 a C-. The last two years our room was so musty, so Humid, we were shocked. Last year They brought in a smaller De-humidifier, then a large one and that cured the problem. This year we wound up with several smaller De-humidifiers. It was better but still musty. Also, I have COPD, and need a chair or bench in the Tub, as I can't stand during a shower. They did put one in, BUT, it collapsed when I first sat on it!
Fortunately, I didn't break any bones, but I was stiff for a few days. Also, I noticed I was being charged $150 for what? It turns out the were going to charge me a Pet fee, even though we didn't have a pet!
On the Plus side, ANDI, the main person I delt with, was as helpful as she could be. It's not her fault the place had a Humidity problem and the chair was faulty, and even getting charged for a Pet fee which she found and was eliminated.
Not sure what we'll do next year.

great hotel, and economical, too
Pros:

Very positive experience at Best Western St. Paul North/Shoreview. Clean, comfortable, quiet room, continuous running fan option so there is no "on- off" sounds of heat or AC to disturb by sleep, easy on-off close to 694, unusually good hot breakfast with many choices and freshly cut fresh fruit. Very nice staff. Price was less than comparable hotels in the area. Good exercise room and pool. I definitely recommend it and will come again.

Disappoining
Pros:

A disappointing experience, especially after reading the previous positive reviews.
Pro: It's clean with a lot of parking; it's an older property.
Con: No hot water in sink, even after running tap for 5+ minutes; shaving was an adventure. No hot water in shower, either although shower would get lukewarm; the sink water never warmed up.
Breakfast was sparse. And while the room was a good size, the arrangement putting the bed right next to AC-was poor, as fan just blew air on the bed all night.
