This was our first time traveling here. It wasn't hard to find however it is literally by nothing. If the hotel restaurant wasn't open you absolutely had to drive a bit or order door dash. I requested a mini fridge on our reservation, which we did not get. Room was dusty, smart water bottle behind couch, old cookie aside of the couch and the pull out bed was full of mold on the underneath. Elevators were slow with the amount of people there. It was a place to rest our heads but not overly exciting. The staff we interacted with was nice and when we requested sheets for the sofa bed and extra towels those were given pretty quickly no questions asked.
If you want to go to a hotel where the carpets saw Y2K, this hotel is for you. Do you like trying to pack up and leave a hotel with only one elevator working, where an elevator malfunctioned the day before. Then stay here. The light in the room must be a mood, hardly any. The woman at the front desk was the rudest customer service person I ever met. Nothing nice came out of her mouth. If you like to be talked to in a condescending tone, stay at this Hilton. Also, if you like security who resemble the people you want security from, this is your place. The parking lot was also wonderful. If you parked on the first floor, you had to use stairs. Packing up was so fun after you walked down stairs since the elevator wasn’t coming and not a single stair case went straight to the lobby, it was a true labyrinth. Then there was no elevator to the lower parking level whose stairs were narrow. Getting a suitcase down them was so fun. The only good thing was the housekeeping staff. Staying at this Hilton was a true experience. One I never need again! But, it may be for you!
While checking in at this hotel, my three-year-old son was playing nearby under my supervision. A female staff member approached me and immediately demanded that my child stop. She then threatened to call the police and have us removed from the hotel.
My child was not being disruptive, loud, or unsafe. The threat was completely unjustified and deeply upsetting. Using intimidation and the threat of law enforcement against a family over a toddler’s normal behavior is unacceptable.
This incident occurred before we even received our room keys and seriously impacted our perception of the hotel. It raises serious concerns about staff training, customer service, and how families are treated.
I would strongly caution families with young children before choosing this hotel.
From the planning to execution the Hilton staff (Stacey Rasko) was professional, helpful and easy to work with from start to finish.
Stayed 2 nights due to a dance competition. It was fine. Nothing was horrible, nothing was great. Positives were the beds were comfy, curtains kept the room dark for sleeping, rooms spacious. Lots of common areas for group gathering. Microwave in the lobby for guest use. The waiters at the breakfast buffet were friendly. My daughter loved the buffet with the make your own waffle station. $23/adult, $15/kids approx. for breakfast. A/C in our room was decent.
Negatives: safe didn't work, one of the outlets next to the bed didn't work which is a real pain because 2 people can't charge phones. The menu at the restaurant is very limited and basic, they are missing a revenue opportunity especially during a weekend convention. If your room is ready early they want to impose an early check-in fee which is just a money grab. For me when a hotel has a room ready before guaranteed check-in time it becomes a perk and a positive part of my stay. Starts your trip off on a nice note! Being asked for a fee when you know the room is ready and sitting there empty starts you off on a negative nickel and diming note. especially for a hotel like this that is in need of a renovation, why not give your guests a perk that doesn't cost you anything and enhance their experience? Ice machines are on 6th and 8th floors but the one on the 6th floor is broken. You don't find out until you take an elevator ride and walk down the hall. Hotel should inform guests at check-in or post a sign on each floor. Just annoying. Elevators were delayed at times but probably because of the large convention taking place. Pillow are old and dingy, need replacing ASAP. The food at the "Starbucks" could use an upgrade. The snacks at the front desk "shop" were terrible - all kinds of weird flavors of chips. Again, another opportunity for them to offer a variety and make more money on snacks.
Overall it's fine, I had to stay here and if it's cheap enough and convenient to whatever you're doing, it's find. But they would benefit from a renovation.
Gave us false information and we never ended up getting a room.
TERRIBLE.. my daughter was sick and we couldn’t make it. I wanted to know if I can get a credit. Not even a refund and they denied me and were so nasty
The room we stayed in the tub would get flooded in seconds. U would turn on the water and it would reach ur ankles in seconds
Room was very nice and clean.
I used Hilton for my baby shower and it was the best choice I could have ever made. I called their events services on a whim remembering that my late mother used them years ago for my sweet 16. Low and behold, they remembered me and my mother. Out of all the venues I reached out to, the most responsive, the most accommodating, and they truly made is one of the best experiences I could have had during my pregnancy. It felt like home. Any events I can have going forward, EB Hilton will be my first choice. Thank you Stacey and all of the wonderful staff for making it so memorable and warm.
Nice and quiet. Conveniently located near bus station.
I can’t get into it right now but very disappointed. The pool was overrun with young children at 9:00 PM - we wanted to a relaxing swim and didn’t even get in due to the noise. Staff was unhelpful. The parking sucked!!! Keep your key card when you check out so you’re not hit with a $20 parking ticket.
Its an old hotel as compared to other hiltons and not that clean another big inconvenience is you have to walk down from parking building to hotel and you have to pay $18 a night for parking very disappointed
There was no refrigerator in the room
No coffee pods w
Outdated Hotel that needs major updating. Convenient location BUT that is about it. The rooms are so old and carpet is dingy looking. The hotel front desk looked like a mail drop area where there were boxes behind the counter. It felt like I was at a motel at the side of the road rather than a HILTON hotel. The shower head and knob is from the 1970's. The safe does not work. There is a business center with NO printer. This hotel looks DEAD. Good bones for the structure as the rooms are spacious. But definitely needs attention. The Ballrooms were huge and really was great for our event. The food during our event was great considering the hotel amenities were not the greatest. The elevators are not efficient, we were supposed to go up to 15th floor and it stopped at 14th floor and went back down right away. I am so scared of checking out the pool and gym I did not even bother.
Room cleanliness was okay but bath room’s both faucets were leaking.Bath tub curtain was not adequate. Other than everything was pretty good. I will certainly use your property.
Hotel is a great location and reasonably priced, however it needs some refurbishing. My room needed new carpet and a paint job.
Worn out rooms
Near to restaurants
$20 parking. Could use better wifi but it’s so nice and the pool area is so nice
