The facilities were beautiful, even though I was only able to see a bit of it during the day. It's location was great too right in the heart of McAllen lots of places close by and convenient overall
I forgot toothpaste, and the little store they had downstairs didn't have any. Maybe they should add the travel kits they sell or just small toothpaste to it.
It looked like a hotel out of a movie.
Restroom could have been cleaned a little better, there was no conditioner had to use my own.
Excellent location
I understand that the hotel has an antique prestige but the Rooms are pretty dated with an old carpet that smells, and needs some natural light, the room was dark even during the day, It looks like the basic amenities were not working properly, hot water wasn’t working one day, the cleaning personnel didn’t showed up during my 3 day stay.
Absolutely a great place to stay. Room was really nice with a balcony overlooking the pool. The breakfast bar is awesome!

We liked the location. Free shuttle to and from the airport. The parking garage is conveniently located next to the hotel. The ambiance at night.
The room is outdated. Need more lighting. We got a room next to the parking garage. So our view was blocked. There are no lights from outside.
The pool area.
While the architecture of the property overall is appealing, the property is rundown especially the guest rooms. I booked a double occupancy room which was handicap accessible. The bathroom did not have any area to put your toiletries. I had to use the ironing board to put my things on. The tile in the shower was cracked and uneven with gaps. The most inconvenient part was that we did not have hot water neither in the shower nor sink. I had to call the front desk twice to ask for someone to come to the room to fix the water issue. I only stayed 2 nights so each day there was an issue including the day I checked out. There was also a dead cockroach in the room, the windows had a heavy film on them and looked like they hadn’t been washed in months and the room overall needed some TLC. I addressed my concerns with the assistant manager when I checked out. She was apologetic and gave me a refund for one night (I stayed 2 nights).
