It would have been nice to know up front that there was no elevator. I was told by the person at the front desk that an elevator was an amenity. Since when is an elevator an amenity?? It's not a pool or a fitness center, it allows a person that does not do stairs well or at all a way to get to their room.
Buen
Staff held my room after I notified them I was going to be arriving later than planned due to road closures because of fires. Also, in the morning staff was able to give me directions to a place I wanted to visit. Motel was easy to locate.

Quiet!
Breakfast.
The price.
Location was right next to the freeway and airport so I didn't sleep all night. The room was crusty and the toilet was old and clogged on me before I left in the morning.
The breakfast was very good. Lots of variety.
This is a nice place to stay. Quiet and staff is super nice. Complimentary breakfast is quite good. We stay here often when coming to Caldwell. Used to stay at the place across the street but they were rude, couldn’t keep records straight, and didn’t have the comfy beds and lots of pillows that this place has.

Breakfast was not good
The room seemed decently clean, but it was just overall in disrepair. The carpet was worn, the bedding was old, and the AC unit had a funky smell. The pool looks sketchy and there is no elevator, just a narrow staircase. The exterior door is supposed to be locked at all times, but doesn’t close. I would’ve been fine with all of this as I just needed a cheap place to stay for the night, but as I was trying to get ready for bed, a bunch of small black beetles started appearing around the room. They were on the floor, walls, ceiling, and I even found one on the bedding. When I squished them, they released a stinky smell. It’s hard to fall asleep knowing bugs are crawling around you. I was able to figure out what kind of bugs they were online, which allowed me to fall asleep, knowing they weren’t harmful. But I definitely wouldn’t stay in this location again. Hopefully they get their pest control figured out!
We arrived at 3am, and still felt welcomed. Room was nice, location was great. We even enjoyed the pool. Price was reasonable.

Breakfast was okay - my husband and son enjoyed it. I couldn't eat there because I am gluten and dairy sensitive. I brought my own food.
The ice section of the fridge was a frozen block - it needs to be defrosted. There were dog hairs in my son's bed- he had hives as a result. A staff woman was walking down the non- smoking hall smoking a cigarette. I am allergic to cigarette smoke. There was no hair dryer in our room and the night front desk attendant couldn't find one!
