From the moment we arrived, this hotel was a complete nightmare. I booked months in advance at a rate of $523 per night. As a Platinum Elite member who stays loyally with Marriott International, I expected far better treatment.
On the day of arrival, we couldn’t even check in because no rooms were clean. We were told to use the app for a digital key and wait for a notification. Fine. We went to the bar, service was excellent, but the hotel automatically adds an 18% gratuity to every single check. One person ordering wings and a beer? Automatic 18%. That’s excessive and inappropriate.
At 5:00 PM, we were told the app wasn’t working, and we had to stand in line all over again to check in. The internet was terrible. The rooms themselves were decent, but nothing special, certainly not worth the chaos or the price.
Then it got worse. Due to the storm, we had to move our flight home earlier. The hotel responded by increasing our rate to over $855 per night. That feels completely dishonest. At check-in, we were told we’d receive a $17 per person, per day food and beverage credit ($34 per day total). Instead, we received just $34 total.
This property feels like a bait-and-switch operation. Between the lack of preparedness, hidden policies, broken systems, and rate manipulation, this was unacceptable. Avoid this hotel — it operates like a thief in the night.

The valet parking service was efficient and well organized, which made arrival and departure completely stress-free. Fabian was especially helpful with our car and our bags — he was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled smoothly. His positive attitude really stood out.

Overall, it was a great experience, and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Exceptional service! Beautiful and immaculate property with stunning views of the ocean and Intra Coastal. Location has everything to offer in the heart of Fort Lauderdale/Las Olas right on the beach. A special shout out to Emmanuel who made our check-in experience pleasant and welcoming and Carlos and his five-star Valet team. Their professionalism is the definition of hospitality and we look forward to seeing them all again soon! Will definitely recommend this property to friends and family and be back for another amazing staycation.
