Poor maintenance no hot water
Pros:

the room is decent size and well equipped

Cons:

no hot water during for 5 consecutive days, 1 or even 2 would have been understandable, but 5 days? I could not had a decent hot shower during my whole stay.

Had to cancel reservation upon arrival due to no hot water.
Pros:

We were not able to stay at the property. Upon arrival after a long trip we were advised that they do not have hot water and that we would need to shower with cold water. We therefore cancelled the reservation and had to find somewhere else to stay. So we can unfortunately not give a proper rating which is a pity as it looked like a nice place to stay.

Cons:

We have stayed at this location a number of times, this is always our hotel of choice when we are in the Houston area, the only thing is we NEVER get our deposit back. I have made front desk aware and nothing ever gets resolved.

Great staff and comfy stay.
Pros:

The staff was super sweet! They let us know before checking in that they were having some technical difficulties with the hot water and that we could cancel free of charge or stay and get a discount. We decided to stay anyway as it was one night anyway literally just to sleep and go home. They had breakfast with my favorite hotel staple Texas shaped waffles. The bed was super comfortable too.

Cons:

I was doing my makeup before a concert and as a makeup girlie the lighting in the bathroom and room (even after opening the window) was trash. So I would recommend bringing a light up mirror (yes the bathroom has one but it was too dim)

Friendly and kind front desk staff, but incompetent and unavailable back office manager.

Cons:

I prepaid in full in advance, but the property charged me again a second time in full at checkout — several days after I left!! I ended up paying double. The receptionist is wonderful, but there is no managerial staff on the weekend available to solve the double payment question.
